Serendipity3 adds a spicy Frrrozen Hot Chocolate to heat up winter Broadway season

Serendipity3 has been serving one of the most iconic desserts for decades. While the favorite chocolate delight has been transformed in various ways, the latest offering could have a few people feeling flushed after enjoying a sip or two. It might be cold outside but the spicy Frrrozen Hot Chocolate is bringing the heat.

Periodically, Serendipity3 collaborates with Broadway shows to offer special, limited edition menu items. Currently, Some Like It Hot, at the Shubert Theatre, is a coveted ticket. The musical comedy based on the movie has everyone enjoying a spirited night of theater.

In honor of the musical, Serendipity3 has added a spicy Frrozen Hot Chocolate. The special blend of cocoas has been infused with “ancho chili, sriracha sauce, cinnamon and allspice.” Then, it is topped with “hot salted sriracha milk chocolate shavings, a drizzle of sriracha sauce, spicy gummy pepper candy.” The combination of spices and chilis hit all the heat notes. It builds to a lovely crescendo and leaves guests wanting more.

According to Chef Joe Calderone, Creative Director at Serendipity3, “As big fans of the movie, we were so thrilled to see that Some Like It Hot debuted on Broadway last month and were so excited to come together to deliver a delicious dessert inspired completely by the show. You won’t want to miss out coming by Serendipity3 this month to try out this mouthwatering and spicy new take on the fan-favorite Frrrozen Hot Chocolate before or after enjoying the musical in Times Square!”

Given Serendipity3’s proximity to the Broadway theaters, it is a great way to enjoy a treat before or after a performance. Hopefully, the restaurant will continue to use its menu to bring a taste of the theater to the table.
