While the Leprechaun might have a few tricks to play on St. Patrick’s Day, a new candy might have him feeling a wee bit sweet for the celebration. The new See’s Candies Irish Cream is the flavor that captures the classic beverage, but it can be enjoyed by all.

For more than 100 years, See’s Candies has been delighting people with both its iconic recipes and sweet innovations. While Mary See’s recipes for that peanut brittle or those Bourdeaux candies always delight guests, the brand is never afraid to bring a little flavor innovation to the box.

This year, the St. Patrick’s Day offerings include a new item, See’s Candies Irish Cream. Described as a blend of “rich chocolate, vanilla and a wee bit of roasted coffee,” the flavor will quickly become a favorite. Although it is just a limited time offering, some people might wish that they could celebrate the Irish in everyone all year long.

Sharing how this new flavor came to be, Pat Egan, President & CEO said, “Mary See, our founder, was Canadian-born with strong Irish roots so it only seemed right to honor her legacy by expanding our St. Patrick’s Day offerings with this new piece. Good luck eating just one!”

The new See’s Candies Irish Cream joins other candies in the St. Patrick’s Day collection, including the Dark Mint Scotchmallows. That combination of bright, refreshing peppermint with sweet chocolate butter caramel has become a favorite. It is like the ultimate pot of gold for the Irish celebration.

While these two candies, golden coins, and various other St. Patrick’s Day themed treats are available, one See’s Candies item has become the “lucky” gift that people cannot wait to give or receive on St. Patrick’s Day. For 30 years, the St. Patrick’s Day Potato has many people happily enjoying another “vegetable” for the celebration.

While the humorous take on a “sweet potato” might seem like a Leprechaun trick, one bite and everyone will see that it is really a treat. The “potato” features the iconic divinity center enrobed in milk chocolate. Then, it is rolled in a cocoa-cinnamon blend. Finally, it gets its pine nut “potato eyes” for the perfect finish. For that St. Patrick’s Day meal, it is the sweet ending that brings smiles all around.

The St. Patrick’s Day candies, including the See’s Candies Irish Cream, are available for a limited time. They are available online and in stores.
