While it might be a simple sentiment, food should be fun. When it becomes a chore to lift the fork or the table is filled with dread, no one wants to enjoy meal time. With the new Dole Wiggles, food fun is just a spoonful away.

Sometimes a little treat can be the bright spot in the day. At the same time, a sugar bomb can derail some good intention eating. It isn’t to say that there are sometimes treats that are worth the extra splurge. But, balanced food choices have become some people’s preference.

For kids, the lunch box is often the place where parents walk a fine line with what kids want to eat and what parents want kids to eat. Although that serving of carrots might be filled with vitamins, the kids might prefer to see a pile of orange candies in that part of the lunch box. In some ways, compromise is a word that is appreciated by all.

The new Dole Wiggles are a potential solution to both the fun that kids crave and the balance that parents prefer. Made with no added sugar, artificial, or artificial preservatives. The Dole Wiggles Fruit Juice Gels bring the sweetness without those unnecessary extras.

As Orzse Hodi, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Americas, Dole Packaged Foods, LLC said, “With many snacking options being high in processed sugars and artificial additives, parents today are looking for healthy, convenient snacks they can feel good about giving their kids. This fun product line delivers a delicious, convenient option for parents and kids. It also contributes to the Dole Promise, which aims to bring access to good nutrition to 1 billion people and move towards zero processed sugar in all Dole products by 2025.”

Available in three flavors, strawberry, orange, and cherry, the flavor options seem to have a broad appeal. They are classic flavors and can easily pair with almost any food. Since the Dole Wiggles use fruit juice, it is curious that grape was not an option. Although not necessarily a common gelatin flavor, it could work well in this scenario.

While the Dole treat seems intended for a convenience snacking option, it does lend itself to other applications. Why not pair those flavors with some real fruit for a flavor boost. For example, a layered treat could amp up the daily fruit intake for everyone in the family.

The new Dole Wiggles Fruit Juice Gels are sold in four-packs. The suggested retail price is $2.99.
