While the leprechaun might be searching for a pot of gold, the sweet St. Patrick’s Day treasure is waiting at Krispy Kreme. The new Good as Gold doughnuts have everyone feeling lucky to open a box. For those people who do not get one of these doughnuts might be green with envy.

When a holiday rolls around, Krispy Kreme is ready to roll out some tasty new doughnuts. While the Original Glazed will always be a favorite, a limited-edition offering can have people running to get that first taste. But, similar to that rainbow in the sky, these St. Patrick’s Day treats will fade away soon enough.

According to Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, “Wherever you’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day – at home, the office, with friends, even parades – you can make it golden by enjoying and sharing our Good as Gold doughnuts. Of course, we’re not leaving green behind. Visit a Krispy Kreme shop on March 16th and 17th and enjoy a free, delicious green O’riginal Glazed doughnut if you wear green!”

What flavors are the new Krispy Kreme Good as Gold doughnuts?

For St. Patrick’s Day 2023, the four Good as Gold Doughnuts flavors are Golden Cookies and Kreme Doughnut, Hot O’ Gold Doughnut, Golden Sprinkle Doughnut, and Rainbow Kreme Filled Doughnut. While it is impossible to pick a favorite, everyone is lucky to enjoy at least one of these flavors.

Capturing the gold that a leprechaun would covet, the Golden Cookies & Kreme Doughnut might be the sweetest offering in the box. Filled with a golden cookie Kreme, the doughnut is then covered in white icing, golden cookie pieces, and a gold sprinkle blend. It might not necessarily sparkle, but its flavor definitely shines.

The Rainbow Kreme Filled Doughnut captures the fun of the holiday. From the White Kreme to the rainbow sugar piece, it could be the centerpiece of any celebration.

The Hat O’ Gold Doughnut and the Golden Sprinkle Doughnut celebrate the colors and imagery of the holiday. Chocolate lovers will love the Hat O’ Gold while Golden Sprinkle is the green colored treat that can keep everyone from getting pinched this season.
