Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Stranahan’s Original 
  • .5 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • .25 oz Honey Liqueur
  • .25 oz Amaro
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters
  • 1 Orange

Instructions:

  • Pour Stranahan’s Original, sweet vermouth, honey liqueur and add amaro, Angostura bitters and Orange bitters into a shaker and stir gently. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with an orange twist.

The 808 Mojito

Even if a tropical getaway was not in the cards for this summer, Father’s Day cocktails can offer an escape in a glass. In this cocktail from Sammy Hagar’s cocktail book, the combination of tropical flavors can transport the drinker to that vacation like moment. The combination of sweet, bright, and a touch spicy is quite exciting.

The 808 Mojito

Ingredients:

  • ½ ounce of fresh pineapple (puree, juice, or freshly chopped)
  • ½ ounce fresh mango (puree, juice, or freshly chopped)
  • ½ habanero pepper, chopped
  • 2 ounces fresh yuzu juice
  • 3-4 fresh kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 ounce Lychee Simple Syrup
  • 2 ounces Sammy’s Beach Bar Platinum Rum
  • 1 ounce ginger beer
  • ¾ ounce Sammy’s Red Head Rum
  • Garnish: Fresh mint sprig

Preparation:

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the pineapple, mango, habanero pepper, yuzu, lime leaves and Lychee Simple Syrup. Using a muddler, gently (yet firmly) muddle the ingredients. Then add the Beach Bar Platinum Rum. Stir well and pour into a Collins or highball glass filled with crushed ice. Top with the ginger beer and Redhead Rum.

  • 2 oz Gran Coramino Cristalino
  • 0.75 oz Lime Juice
  • 0.5 oz Grapefruit Juice
  • 0.5 oz Hot Honey Syrup (2 Parts Mike’s Hot Honey + 1 Part Water)
  • 2 oz Grapefruit Soda

Directions:

  • Rock Tajin around rim of Collins glass. In a cocktail shaker, add Gran Coramino Cristalino, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and hot honey syrup. Add fresh ice, then shake and strain into Collins glass over fresh ice. Top with grapefruit soda. Garnish with grapefruit slice

  • Fill rocks glass with freshly cubed ice, strain into rocks glass.

  • 50 mL Sparkling Water

Method:

  • Combine ingredients in mixing glass. Stir, then strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass or ice blocks. Garnish with a lemon peel over the top of the cocktail, twist, and place on top of large ice cube.
