The three new Krispy Kreme Stars and Stripes doughnuts are Red Velvet Sparkler Doughnut, Freedom Flag Doughnut, and All-American Apple Pie Doughnut. Although color references are clear, the flavors are classic.

The All-American Apple Pie Doughnut features Apple Cinnamon filling, caramel icing and graham cracker crumb. In some ways, this doughnut combines several types of apple desserts into one. From the sweetness of a caramel apple to the classic crumble, the only thing missing is a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Instead of baking for the Fourth of July, simply buy a dozen, top with ice cream, and everyone has an individual dessert.

The Red Velvet Sparkler Doughnut feels indulgent. That moist cake with cream cheese icing is a classic. While the pretty décor is eye catching, it is the classic flavor that brings back all those nostalgic feelings.
