Kraft American Cheese is a staple in my households. From that perfectly melty grilled cheese to giving scrambled eggs a little boost, the reality is that many people that wrapped sliced of cheese. With its latest offering in collaboration with Little Pie Company, Kraft Singles Apple Pie has more people discovering that cheese and pie is an All-American food collaboration.

Apple pie is a classic. While some bakers can explain why certain apples can bring that sweet and tart balance, the fruit is only one component of a perfect slice. Putting aside that mention of a soggy bottom, the classic dessert is more complex than simple. From the warm spices to the hint of sugar, it takes a deft hand to make a perfect apple pie.

Although some people have their tried and true recipe, the idea of cheese and apple pie has some people skeptical, until they try the first slice. Many people who live in Wisconsin know that a classic cheddar combined with apple pie is a great end to a meal. That combination of sweet and savory is delightful.

The special Kraft Singles Apple Pie puts that food combination front and center for everyone to enjoy a slice. The 5” pie, in collaboration with Little Pie Company, can be purchased at their store or via Goldbelly.

Speaking to the collaboration, Arnold Wilkerson, creator of Little Pie Company said, “At Little Pie Company, we take pride in our pies made from scratch, and are always thinking of ways to bring new flavors and experiences to our fans. When Kraft Singles approached us about creating a limited-edition pie featuring their iconic square, we were so excited and confident we could nail the recipe. Simply good and ready to eat, the Kraft Singles Apple Pie is sure to be a delight for all this Fourth of July.”

As Kelsey Rice, Associate Director for Kraft Singles at the Kraft Heinz Company said, “Kraft Singles is a small ingredient that makes a big difference, and we are on a mission to make simple irresistible and reignite America’s love for Kraft American Cheese. Melting cheese on top of apple pie is a tradition we see many of our fans enjoy, so we wanted to remind people that Kraft Singles multiplies the enjoyment of whatever food you are eating and inspire new ways to enjoy our product beyond the grill.”

While this special offering will have many people placing an order, the idea can be enjoyed at home. Why not take a slice of Kraft American Cheese and top it on your own apple pie recipe. It might not be the traditional way that people serve a slice, but it could be a new tradition.

This idea encourages people to see particular favorite foods in a different way. Similar to that Kraft Mac and Cheese ice cream offering from a while back, food does not have to fit into a particular box. Sweet can cross over into savory. Culinary creativity excites people to get into the kitchen and explore all the possibilities.

The Kraft Singles Apple Pie in collaboration with Little Pie Company will be available in New York City and Goldbelly starting on June 22. It will cost $10.95 in stores. The Goldbelly offering includes a recipe card, two single 5” pies and two packs of Kraft Singles for melting. That offering costs $42.00 before shipping.
