Peter Madrigal shakes up point friendly WeightWatchers cocktails
From celebrating life’s special occasions to toasting to getting through another week, a spirited libation can bring a little levity to the day. Although that full glass might hold many possibilities, finding the balance within other lifestyle choices is not always quite that simple. With a little help from Peter Madrigal (Vanderpump Rules), these WeightWatchers cocktails add up to a perfect point solution.
Many people have watched Peter Madrigal shake up some memorable drinks behind the bar at LA’s hotspots. Although those television moments might be slightly nuanced for the audience, the reality is that the talented mixologist appreciates that a great cocktail adds to the overall experience. The ambiance might invite a guest in, but the beverage allows them to linger a little longer.
While many people might like to sip all night long, the reality is that some glasses are filled with too many extras. No one wants to have a negative connotation linger in the air after enjoying that satisfying sip.
With these WeightWatchers cocktails, Peter has found the balance between a flavorful drink yet staying within the brand’s point system. As WeightWatchers has longer believed, certain food and beverages should not be totally axed from the conversation. It is about making the choices fit within a personal program.
As part of this collaboration, Peter has created cocktail recipes that adhere to the point system. Available to WW members on the Recipes tab of the app, the “Cocktails by Peter Madrigal” offer spins on classics like a margarita, wine slush, and even a tea infused sipper.
Here’s how to make the Deep Purple, one of his WeightWatchers cocktails.
Ingredients:
- 1 stock of rosemary
- 4 blackberries
- 2 ounces lavender chamomile tea
- 1 ounce blackberry infused vodka
- 2 teaspoon of honey
Method:
- Add ingredients together in a mixing tin
- Dry shake ingredients
- Double strain into a champagne glass
- Top with champagne
While that WeightWatchers cocktail is sweet and slightly herbal, some drinkers might prefer a nod to a classic cocktail. The margarita is often a favorite, but it can be calorically dense. With the PeterRita, the glass is bursting with flavor, but the points are fewer than other options.
