New Starbucks Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte has tea lovers rejoicing
While the iconic Starbucks PSL turns 20, a new seasonal beverage reflects how customizations can influence the menu. The new Starbucks Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte might be the perfect beverage to transition from swelting summer temps to crisp fall days.
As pumpkin seasonal offerings come earlier and earlier, some people run for that first taste, but others are not quite ready to wrap themselves up in those warm, satisfying spices. Even though the flavors are comforting, it can be hard to think of the crisp, brisk days when the temperatures are sweltering.
Starbucks appreciates that seasonal beverages need to cross over many categories. It is more than the warm cup that is cradled in people’s hands. Some would prefer a chilled option, even on those cool fall mornings.
The new Starbucks Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte is that option. Describing the beverage, Starbucks beverage developer Billy Altieri said, “The warm spice flavors of chai and pumpkin seamlessly blend together, creating a creamy and comforting iced beverage.”
While the flavor has many people adding this new beverage to their favorites, the concept started as a barista and customer creation. Even though some customized orders might read more like a laundry list, this option is smart and brings the seasonal flavors to a wider audience. Whether it is a person who prefers an iced drink or the guest who rather have a tea over coffee, the concept opens a broader conversation about the Starbucks menu and its versatility.
Building on that menu breath and diversity, the other new seasonal menu offerings lean into those concepts. The new Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso feels almost like a sippable dessert.
Describing the new beverage, Alterie commented, “The warm, gooey taste of apple crisp paired with a cup of coffee meld perfectly to unveil a cozy beverage customers have come to know and love at Starbucks each fall. The new Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso features creamy oatmilk that perfectly complements the light roast flavors of Starbucks Blonde Espresso.”
These new options join returning favorites like the iconic PSL, fan favorite Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, and variations on those options. In addition, Starbucks is offering a variety of seasonally inspired bakery treats including a new Baked Apple Croissant. The fall menu is available starting on August 24, while supplies last.
