As summer ends and the school year begins, a Jack in the Box favorite side is helping No Kid Hungry. Those iconic curly fries are always delicious and a donation to help fight childhood hunger makes them taste even better.

While some families enjoy strolling the grocery store aisles to find the perfect school lunch options, others might not be quite as fortunate. Whether it is lacking breakfast before school or an empty dinner plate at night, children who do not have access to a balanced meal are at a disadvantage.

According to No Kid Hungry, students without nutritious meals can face issues in the classroom. From lack of focus to educational and emotional problems, making meaningful change on the table can and will make a difference.

As Ryan Ostrom, Chief Marketing Officer of Jack in the Box said, “Food is at the core of everything we do at Jack in the Box, which is why our national philanthropic focus is childhood hunger relief. We’re committed to our partnership with No Kid Hungry, and we look forward to fueling their mission to end childhood hunger at our restaurants this September.”

Throughout September, any guest who donates “$1 to No Kid Hungry will receive a coupon for a free small curly fry.” The free food offer can be redeemed on a future visit. 100% of all money raised goes directly to No Kid Hungry. The quick service restaurant hopes to raise $1 million through this campaign. Since 2015, Jack in the Box has donated $3.7 million to the charity.

While Jack in the Box has offered many fun, creative promotions, this September event puts a focus on the community. It is more than just a food deal. Many consumers will choose to support a brand because it aligns with their personal beliefs. That $1 might not be a lot to some, but it can make a big difference to those in need.
