A doughnut and a coffee are a classic food and beverage combination. While the doughnut case has seen flavor innovations, Krispy Kreme coffee beverages are getting a bold, richer flavor. Whether enjoyed hot, iced, or frozen, the better beans grind a more satisfying sip.

Within the coffee space, the competition is fierce. A spoonful of sugar or a unique flavor swirl cannot mask a bad brew. A great beverage starts and ends with the coffee beans.

Starting today, Krispy Kreme introduces a new smooth blend and rich roast across its coffee line. The Arabica beans are a medium roast, which makes it approachable across all the beverage offerings. By eliminating any bitterness, the coffee is enjoyable both on its own and it allows the added flavors to shine.

More importantly, the change allows the flavor to be consistent. From the Original Glazed Iced Coffee to the Classic Brewed Coffee, guests will know that any order will always bring the taste that they expect. This aspect could inspire some people to occasionally step away from their regular order. Given that the underlying coffee is always flavor, people know that it is an order that they can rely on.

Commenting on the revamped coffees, Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme said, “Krispy Kreme fans expect an awesome doughnut experience that exceeds their expectations. It’s time we delivered coffee worthy of pairing with our iconic doughnuts. With richer roasts, better beans and exceptional taste, we’re excited for our fans to try these new coffees.”

Since the new roast deserves to be experience with a doughnut, Krispy Kreme is offering guests a free doughnut when they order one of all-new coffees or expresso beverages. The offer is available from September 14 through September. Guests can choose any doughnut from the menu. If ordering via the app, guests can use the code SWEETDUO to obtain the deal.

Lastly, Krispy Kreme is adding oat milk to its menu. Since alternative milks need to be part of the conversation, it is good to see the company make this change. Could some alternative doughnut options be next? Only time will tell.
