Many people understand eating a bowl full of greens is an integral part of healthy eating. With the new Little Leaf Farms salad kits, those favorite greens are flavorful, colorful, and even a little fun in every bite.

Salad kits and lettuce options fill the shelf. While cost can drive a purchase, the reality is that the food inside the container needs to be flavorful. No amount of dressing can smother sad, wilted greens.

Little Leaf Farms has been a leader in the lettuce category. Considered the country’s number one sustainability grown lettuce, brand has developed a growing and packaging process that ensures the best possible and longer lasting lettuce arrives in people’s homes. While many people appreciate the longevity, it is the taste and appearance that have people wanting more.

As part of the brand’s expansion, it just launched Little Leaf Farm salad kits. Speaking to the new offering, Lindsay Hardie, Vice President of Marketing at Little Leaf Farms said, “Little Leaf Farms fans have been asking for these kits, and we’re excited to bring them to shelf this fall. Since our founding we’ve been dedicated to bringing a better, fresher lettuce to market and we’re thrilled to bring that same innovative spirit to the kits category. Our kits are packed and delivered from greenhouse to grocery store in about 24 hours, providing consumers with a new always-fresh, convenient and delicious option.”

The new Little Leaf Farms salad kits come in two flavors, Crispy Caesar and Southwest. The two flavors are approachable for a large audience.

With the Crispy Caesar, it is equally tasty as a side or as a main meal. Although chicken is a traditional protein booster, consider stepping beyond the traditional. Even a little lemon pepper shrimp is a lovely choice. Or, go bold with a slightly seared steak for a heartier meal.

For the Southwest, the avocado ranch dressing drives the excitement with this kit. Celebrating a full variety of textures with the chili-lime tortilla strips and roasted corn, the salad satisfies and feels like a complete meal.

Although it is easy to add a protein to this kit too, think beyond the traditional chicken, shrimp or even beef. For example, pork is a wonderful choice to play off the other flavors in the kit.
Truthfully, this kit easily is the foundation to a burrito or burrito bowl. With some quinoa or rice, protein, and salad kit and it is a huge meal. And, even consider adding some crispy sweet potato cubes or crispy chick peas for added crunch.

This new Little Leaf Farms salad kits continue the brand’s expansion. It has added more Northeast greenhouses and will add additional grocery stores in both the Midwest and Southeast.
The new salad kits are available now. The suggested retail price is $5.49. Check with retailers for availability.
