Potato chips and a sandwich are always a favorite combination. Just in time for National Sandwich Day, the limited offering Lay’s Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup flavor is giving everyone something to talk about, especially Bravo fans.

Over the year’s Lay’s has had many special flavor offerings. Whether it is a connection to sports figures or pop culture, those classic potato chips have been transformed. Even though those chips are a favorite snack, it is more than just mindless eating. People enjoy the flavor, crave the connection, and want to put some creativity on the plate.

The idea of pairing chips and a sandwich is classic. Whether the side snack or stuffed in between the bread, the salty, crunchy chip makes eating that meal more enjoyable. A plain sandwich on its own can sometimes be a little bland.

Ahead of National Sandwich Day, the limited edition Lay’s Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup flavor chips will be available. The new food brings together the comforting, bright note from the tomato soup and cheesy, decadent taste from the sandwich.

While the idea sounds like it would sell out on shelves in an instant, the specialty food is not hitting stores. Like some of the most coveted items, it has everyone, not just “her,” talking about how to snag a bag.

The special offering is part of a BravoCon launch. Since the limited offering chip flavor is inspired by a sandwich, Lay’s partnered with Vanderpump Rules and Something About Her sandwich shop owners Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney to launch this food. The special offering will be available at BravoCon.

BravoCon attendees will get a chance to taste the chips on November 3. In addition, fans will get a glimpse into the pair’s highlighly anticipated sandwich shop, Something About Her.

Lay’s Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup heats up Lay’s Happy Hour at BravoCon

As all the Bravo-lebrities head to Las Vegas, fans eagerly anticipate all the special events. At the Lay’s Happy Hour, the onsite activation is full of flavorful bites and beverages to keep the party going.

According to Lay’s the event will feature the following:

  • LAY’S “Born Cool” As a Cucumber Cup, which uses a sturdy Lay’s Wavy chip as the base
  • LAY’S OMGrilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, which uses toast made with Lay’s and soup infused with Lay’s Cheddar Sour Cream
  • LAY’S Chocolate Chip-Duo Cookies, which are dusted and baked with crushed Lay’s
  • LAY’S Something About Sangria, which is rim dusted with crushed Lay’s
  • LAY’S “I Take Sandwiches Very Seriously” PB&J Martini, which is rim dusted with crushed Lay’s
  • LAY’S Spice up the Drama Margarita, which is rim dusted with Lay’s Kettle Cooked Jalapeno

Looking at all the options, it could inspire a new cocktail trend. Why can’t Lay’s chips be a cocktail garnish. It might be time to ditch the salt, tajin, or over the top stack for something just as flavorful. This idea could ensure that no chip gets wasted.
