With a chance to join the top 10 on the line, the chefs feel the growing tension. In Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 episode 8, the personality conflicts are ready to bubble over. Could it be as simple as better communication?

According to FOX, Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 episode 8, “Cooking For Your Life,” features the following:

"Tensions rise as the chefs face their most difficult challenge yet: communication. The contestants are each assigned to cook one of the top 5 cuisines in America, but the challenge gets turned on its head and shines the spotlight on a select few contestants. While the losing team sifts through trash, and the winning team enjoys massages and a surprise meal, no one is safe from a one-on-one meeting with Chef Ramsey in the all-new “Cooking For Your Life” episode of Hell’s Kitchen airing Thursday, Nov. 16 (8:00 PM – 9:01 PM) on FOX."

Although this cooking competition is never easy, it seems that the bickering between the chefs continues to grow. Whether it is the pressure to succeed, just not liking people, or something else, the underlying issue does not matter. The only truth is that people need to find a way to communicate.

As seen in a previous episode, being boastful is never going to win friends. Going out on your own will separate the team. Sure, there can be a villain in every season, but these issues seem to be more than just a single person looking to cause chaos.

If the first challenge is about communication, the concept is more than just a single challenge scenario. The callbacks during previous dinner services have failed. The chefs do not clearly state their timing. Stations cannot find ways to keep the process moving forward. All those scenarios are communication issues.

It might seem like the kitchen is just about cooking a great meal, but it is not an isolated scenario. If the team cannot function as one kitchen brigade, they will fail. It is just that simple. When all those voices do not harmonize, it is a failure.

As for the one-on-one meeting with Chef Ramsey, the chefs better be on their game. There are no white lies like earlier in the season with Chef Christina. Hiding the cooking mistake hoping it can be salvaged. The chef who takes ownership might be in a better position than the one who tries to cover their poor decisions.

Which chef will survive Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 episode 8 and make the top 10? Be sure to watch the episode Thursday night at 8 p.m. on FOX or stream new episodes the next day on Hulu.
