Tucci – the Heart of Italy to air on National Geographic
While Stanley Tucci has earned praise for this acting prowess, he has endeared himself to people throughout the world by sharing his love of Italian food. From the perfect pizza to the nuance of a great pasta, he has invited everyone to the table to enjoy a delicious feast. On the Tucci – the Heart of Italy, the National Geographic food and travel show will journey across the country to dive deeper into the various regions.
In a recent announcement, the 10-episode food series travels through 10 different Italian regions. Although the exact locales have not yet been revealed, viewers can expect a flavorful discussion on food, culture, and personal connection.
As Tucci said in a statement, “National Geographic is all about adventure and exploration, and I am honored to take viewers once again to explore Italy through the lens of food. In Italy’s many distinct regions there is always something new to discover and I’m more than excited to begin the process in partnership with BBC Studios.”
Given the success that Tucci has had with his previous food television shows, many people are eager to devour this new series. Everyone has reason to believe that the concept and formula that resonated in the past will be front and center once again.
While food television is full of competition shows, food and travel concepts have become more prevalent. Whether it is people’s wanderlust cravings or a desire to have a better appreciation for global cultures, the reality is that these programs can do a deeper dive into the stories behind the food. As many people appreciate, a great meal is more than just ingredients being thrown into a pot. It is often the whys that add the flavor which makes the dish so craveable.
Tucci – the Heart of Italy begins production in January 2024. The project currently has a working title. No specific potential release date has been offered at this time.
