At Arby’s, certain food items are a give because the brand is all about the “meats.” The newest menu items add a little extra flavor. In collaboration with AC Barbecue, these sandwiches and sauces have everyone craving a little extra sweet and spicy.

Celebrity food brand collaborations are a big deal. It is more than a celebrity sharing their favorite order. For both fans and food lovers, these new menu items have them have them heading to the restaurant to be the first one to get a taste.

Available starting on April 28, Arby’s is partnering with AC Barbecue, the company created by Anthony Anderson and Cedric The Entertainer. While the two founders know how to get a laugh, their food brand has the flavor people expect from a serious pitmaster. Tangy sauces, spicy notes, and a hint of sweetness are all characteristics of many of the company’s offerings.

The special partnership includes two new sandwiches and two special sauces. The sandwiches are: Quarter Pound Brisket Sandwich and Quarter Pound Pulled Pork Sandwich. The sauces are: Cedric’s Sweet Bussin Brown Sugar Sauce and Anthony’s Spicy Chipotle Smoke Sauce.

The Quarter Pound Brisket Sandwich celebrates the 13-house slow-smoked brisket. That bold, smoky flavor needs to be front and center. While the sandwich is served with sweet, garlicky-dill pickles, the meat shines.

The Quarter Pound Pulled Pork Sandwich is a great representation of two types of pork. While there is plenty of shredded pork, the chunky bark pieces are like little treasures nestled between the two buns. Served with the sweet, garlicky-dill pickles, it offers a great balance of flavors and textures.

Since many people love some sauce with their barbecue, the two new AC Barbecue offerings turn two sandwiches into four totally different options.

For people who appreciate a slow burning, spicy note, Anthony’s Spicy Chipotle Smoke Sauce is the must try. One whiff of that sauce brings anticipation of the bold heat with a sprinkling of smokiness.

While this sauce goes with both sandwiches, the Quarter Pound Brisket Sandwich is the better option. The hearty brisket can stand up to that chipotle. It might not be the traditional Texas BBQ option but it is one that will get people’s attention.

In contrast, Cedric’s Sweet Bussin Brown Sugar Sauce brings the sweet with a touch of tangy. While far from a spoonful of sugar, this sauce is a little more approachable for a wider range of palates. Pairing this sauce with the pulled pork is a must. It is a classic.

Both the new sandwiches and sauces will hit Arby’s menu starting on April 28. While prices will vary, the starting price is $5.99.
