When guests step into Universal Helios Grand Hotel, the expansive Epic Universe can be seen through the windows. As the celestial experience beckons, another luminous escape awaits from a lofty perch. At Bar Helios, the Mediterranean inspired space offers delicious food and a creative bar program that is equally as impressive as the theme park that it overlooks.
During a media preview event, Universal Orlando Resort offered tour inside the new Universal Helios Grand Hotel. Located at the base of Epic Universe, the stylish Loews property offers luxurious accommodations with the convenience of being just steps from all theme park thrills.
Capturing a Mediterranean vibe, the décor feels elevated yet approachable. From olive trees to muted tones, all the decisions create a welcoming ambiance that exudes relaxation. While guests will feel transported, ascending to Bar Helios should be a priority on this excursion.
Although Universal Orlando Resort’s culinary team has not revealed the complete menu, a glimpse revealed that the menu will blend Mediterranean influenced tapas with classic comfort food. Overall, there will be a little bit of everything to appeal to a wide range of guests.

During the media preview, a Bar Helios representative shared some information regarding the bar program. The stunning circular bar will become a hotspot for both hotel guests and people longing for a taste of this grand experience.
One of the signature items at Bar Helios will be a specially sourced single barrel Angel’s Envy bourbon. Highlighting a special, unique bourbon offering is a smart choice for the bar. Whiskey drinkers seek out these particular single barrel offerings. Whether drunk on its own or used in a cocktail, it will be signature for the bar.

Additionally, choosing Angel’s Envy as the signature bourbon shows that the bar program wanted an approachable, wide-reaching spirit that appeals to a vast audience. The signature cast finishes that Angel’s Envy offerings has made it a highly sough-after spirit.
Another specialty offering at Bar Helios will be its negroni. According to the representative, the soon to be created “mother” cocktail will be added to time and again. That first pour will be forever tied to every cocktail served from the bar. Similar to how the show across the fountains at Epic Universe will pass the light each day and night, this liquor continual connection strengthens the experience for guests to come back time and again.
Choosing a negroni as a signature cocktail sets the tone for the cocktail program. The classic cocktail appeals to the distinguished drinker as well as the trend seeker. Additionally, it should pair well with both Mediterranean style dishes and classic food fare.
Bar Helios at Universal Helios Grand Hotel will be open to both hotel guests and visitors. More information on operating hours will be available on the Universal Orlando Resort website.
