Anyone who has joined a Cody Rigsby Peloton workout knows that they are in for a fun time. The minutes fly by as the conversation, music, and good times turn a workout into spending 30 minutes with an old friend. As he has admitted in classes, Cody loves a sweet treat. In partnership with FULFIL, he can satisfy his sweet tooth and get a protein boost.

For those unfamiliar with FULFIL, the protein bars and bites offer a huge serving of protein with delicious flavors. Almost more like a candy bar than an old school protein bar, the robust flavor line-up has people happily grabbing a good for you food instead of empty calories.

Since FULFIL is a Hershey’s brand, the company knows that great tasting chocolate and superior ingredients are vital to creating a local customer. Balancing flavorful and function, the company has captivated people who want food choices that easily fit into their active lifestyle.

One person who has fallen in love with FULFIL is Cody Rigsby. From loyal XOXO Cody Peloton followers to fans of Dancing with the Stars, Cody’s vivacious personality shines through in everything he does. That tell it like is it, no filter commentary has endeared him to millions. There is no sugar coating Cody’s opinions.

Recently, Cody Rigsby partnered with FULFIL to discuss how he enjoys these protein bars and bites. Through this partnership, he gracious answered some questions for FoodSided.

Cristine Struble: In your Peloton workouts, the classes push participants, but they make you laugh and have fun. Why is balancing fun with fitness important to keep people engaged with their workouts? Is music a key part to that experience?

Cody Rigsby: Fitness and fun should go hand in hand—if they don’t, you might be taking your workout a little too seriously. If exercising feels like just another item to check off your to-do list, then the workout itself is probably going to feel just as dull.

I aim to strike the perfect balance in my classes—helping people set goals, push themselves to achieve them, and ensure they can still crack a smile while doing it. I keep things lighthearted, pack my classes with great music (usually a pop playlist full of Britney Spears or Beyoncé), and if you know me, you know there will be some guaranteed hot takes. When a workout feels more like an experience than a chore, it’s something you want to start the day with or you look forward to all day.

CS: Your advice/commentary in some classes gets straight to the point, but still has a positive slant. Why is it important to keep positive on a fitness journey? What advice would you give people who lost their motivation to get up and move? Is it important to put a goal out there?

CR: Success isn’t just about numbers—it’s not always about hitting a goal pace or crushing an output (though that’s great too). Sometimes, success is just showing up—waking up early to work out, pushing from 20 to 30 minutes, or carving out a little time for yourself, no distractions.

If motivation is low, be honest with yourself—why? If your “why” doesn’t hold up, maybe it’s time to shift your mindset. Fitness can feel optional when life gets busy, but there’s always a small window to move.

My best advice? Start small. A 15-minute session, a low-impact ride—anything to get moving without feeling overwhelmed. Then, check in—how do you feel? (Spoiler: probably great). The key is just getting started and committing to show up again tomorrow, at whatever level works for you.

CS: Recently, you partnered with FULFIL. Why do you think people will be drawn to these protein bars and how do you incorporate them into your routine? Which is your favorite flavor?

CR: FULFIL has been a total game-changer for me! Their bars pack up to 20g of protein (in their BIGGEST Bar option) with less than 5g of sugar, and the best part? They actually taste like candy (and you all know I have a sweet tooth).

With my schedule—teaching Peloton classes, hosting my podcast, and everything in between—I need something quick, protein-packed, and delicious to keep me going. That’s where FULFIL comes in. Their new protein bites are my latest obsession. They’re pop-able, easy to take anywhere, and—this is how you know they’re good—my mom is just as hooked as I am. Every time I grab a bag, she’s right there reaching for some too.

Right now, we’re both all about the Chocolate Salted Caramel flavor—so good! I keep them in my backpack at all times for that perfect little boost whenever I need it (if my mom hasn’t finished them first).

CS: Is having enough protein in your diet vital to your wellness goals? How do you keep that food from becoming bland or boring?

CR: Absolutely! Protein is key to my wellness routine, but I never see it as something I have to eat—it’s just part of meals I enjoy. Whether it’s lean meats, dairy like Greek yogurt and cottage cheese, or grabbing a FULFIL bar for a quick boost, I keep it fun, flavorful, and easy.

For me, balance is everything. I focus on nourishing my body but also enjoying life. I never skip dessert, love a good glass of wine, and don’t stress over every bite. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about fueling my body while still enjoying the things I love.

CS: Do you have a food routine that you follow before a Peloton workout? Is it important to refuel after a hard workout or do you listen to what your body needs?

CR: My mornings always start with a protein boost—I actually drink a cup of egg whites every day (about 30 grams of protein). I know it’s not for everyone, but it’s an easy way for me to get my protein fix. Before a Peloton workout, I like to keep it light but always make sure to have something protein-packed to keep me energized. Gotta have that boost to be the Cody my riders show up for. Lately, my go-to has been FULFIL’s Biggest Bar—with 20g of protein and a new chocolate peanut butter flavor with Reese’s peanut butter, it’s both delicious and filling.

After a tough workout, refueling is essential. Hydration comes first—lots of water and electrolytes—followed by protein and carbs to help my body recover and reset for the next ride.

CS: What are you looking forward to accomplishing in 2025? Any new projects ahead?

CR: In 2025, I’m excited to celebrate my current successes—whether it’s making people smile in my Peloton classes, sparking conversations (and spilling the tea) on my podcast, or continuing to share my book, XOXO, Cody. For me, accomplishments this year are all about consistency—keeping up the work I’ve put in, staying true to what I love, and bringing joy to the people around me every day.
