The topiaries and flowers in full bloom are just one example of the stunning beauty of the garden. The annual Epcot Flower and Garden Festival food offerings celebrate the fresh, seasonal ingredients in many of the dishes. With the Disney desserts, one key ingredient ensures that every plate is bursting with flavor.

Enjoying a day at Disney Parks includes feasting on the many food and beverage offerings. Although no one wants to be gluttonous, people are more willing to say yes to a second, or third, dessert throughout the day. Every plate seems to have that extra sprinkle of Pixie Dust that makes the food feel just a little more magical.

At the 2025 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, the desserts showcase the chefs ability to transform seasonal ingredients into a scrumptious dish. Some items are stunning in their simplicity. Others take traditional recipes and add a dash of ingenuity.

A few dessert highlights include: Blueberry Crumble Cake, Liquid Nitro Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake, Coconut-Chocolate Flancocho, Lemon  Tart, and Florida Strawberry Shortcake. These items are just a sampling of the diverse and flavorful menu.

During a conversation with Chef de Cuisine- Pastry, Amanda Lauder, she offered some insight into the culinary team’s process to create a well-balanced dish. It is about celebrating the fruits.

Chef Amanda said, “the fruits are the star of the show for the desserts in Farmer’s Feast this year! The blueberries have been mixed with fresh lemon zest to help cut through the heaviness of the cheesecake and gelato, making the dish lighter and perfect for the Spring.”

That concept of offering a sweet, rich dessert without the dish becoming heavy is important. Not only does it enhance the overall enjoyment on a warm day, the lightness allows guests to order more than one dessert during the visit.

Chef Amanda gave another example. “We have even paired our corn dessert with a zest of Fresh lime to help keep the brightness and acidity levels strong to cut through the richness of the corn cookie.”

This example is a wonderful choice to showcase how the culinary team takes a creative approach to ingredients. These Epcot desserts are not sugar bombs. They are nuanced, well-balanced, and creative. For the person who loves to bake, it is a lesson to apply in their own kitchen.

Like many of the dishes on the 2025 Epcot Flower and Garden menu, it is important to showcase seasonal ingredients. Whether that food is the star of the plate or a supporting item, it is essential to the well-composed dish.

Chef Amanda explained, “pairing the gelato with the fresh, seasonal ingredients not only keeps dessert from becoming too heavy but also celebrates the flavors of the season, making each dessert feel special and unique.”

Given that the 2025 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival has such a long run, there are plenty of opportunities to try all the desserts on the menu. Enjoy one, two or more on the next visit. The flavors epitomize the spring season and are simply magical.

The 2025 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival runs now through June 2. Check with Disney Parks for ticket availability and theme park reservations.
