In Hell’s Kitchen Season 23 episode 6, the chefs must roll out some delicious pasta. While the traditional dish might seem straightforward, proper technique is vital to impressing Gordon Ramsay. As seen in this exclusive clip, poor pasta should not be taken to the pass.
Service after service, the chefs have been on a roller coaster ride in Hell’s Kitchen. While the season might have started on a dramatic boat entrance, each dinner service has been rockier than waves during a tempest.
Communication continues to be an issue. Even though the Blue Team might wish that Egypt would go home, the reality is that it is more than just one person holding back their successes. The kitchen brigade cannot achieve when no one is willing to work together.
In this Hell’s Kitchen Season 23 episode 6 exclusive clip provided to FoodSided, Brandon makes an egregious error. Is it time for him to turn in his chef coat?
Pasta is a deceptive dish. The cooking fresh pasta is not complicated but it needs to be done well. Cooking time, sauce consistency, and melding the flavors together is vital.
Brandon misses the mark on several accounts. For Gordon Ramsay to call it “piss pasta,” the brash commentary does not mince words. The sauce looks like dirty water. In no way is that dish appetizing.
The bigger issue is that Brandon continues to be willing to send out sub par dishes to the pass. Would these plates past muster at his restaurant? If they did, that establishment might need a Kitchen Nightmares makeover.
The Blue Team continues to struggle. It is unclear if the chefs are unwilling to work together or they just do not know how to work together. Until they can settle their communication issues, they will continue to fail.
Can the Blue Team recover from their poor pasta? Be sure to watch Hell’s Kitchen Season 23 episode 6 Thursday, October 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. Episodes can be streamed the next day on Hulu.
