From the simple gin and tonic to a complex negroni, the beautiful, botanical gin excites many drinkers. The newest offering in the Cabinet of Curiosities line, Hendrick’s Oasium opens the door to new cocktail creations.
Hendrick’s has led the way in creating different gin expressions. While bourbon distillers continually push the boundaries with unique barrel aging expressions, gin makers usually offer a signature spirit. Hendricks is different. The Cabinet of Curiosities line alters certain flavor profiles to make the cucumber forward gin become a whole new flavor experience.
The newest offering, Oasium is the sixth release in this line. Inspired by an escape to a desert oasis, the flavor is bright, refreshing, yet full of intrigue. Similar to the mirage rising from the sand, this gin flavor has more than meets the eye.
According to Master Distiller Lesley Gracie, “I find endless inspiration in my surroundings, and every time I see the palm trees in the Hendrick’s Gin Palace, I’m transported back to this extraordinary trip. was such a remarkable journey that I had to capture it in a gin, preserving the memory forever. As someone who’s always in search of new flavors, it was fascinating to see what plants grow and thrive in an oasis. There’s a very distinct, fresh green character and bright citrus note to Hendrick’s Oasium, rounded off by aromatic herbs that play delightfully well together.”
In this release, the gin features bright citrus flavors. That zesty note is complimented with green herbaceous flavors. It is not grassy, but the vibrancy feels like rejuvenating sip that awakens the palate.
Using this release in a cocktail is a great way to make the refreshing flavors shine. Playing into the citrus flavors is smart. From a lime forward gin and tonic to always delightful spritz, there are plenty of options to try.
With this specialty spirit, the cocktails should not be complicated. Letting the libation be gin forward is necessary. In the end, no one needs to hide all that nuance with clutter.

Here are some cocktails featuring the new Hendricks Oasium.
Oasium Fizz
Many people love the bright, tart flavors of a Paloma. The grapefruit forward drink is wonderful on a warm, sunny day. This cocktail replaced the mezcal or tequila for the Hendrick’s Oasium. The burst of botanicals is invigorating.
Ingredients:
1 ½ parts Hendrick’s Oasium
¾ part fresh pink grapefruit juice
¾ part fresh lime juice
¾ part simple syrup
Top with soda water
Cucumber slice for garnish
Method:
Combine ingredients in a highball glass filled with cubed ice. Top with soda water and lightly stir. Garnish with a cucumber slice.
While Hendrick’s does not make this suggestion, adding a lime salt rim or even a tajin, lime salt rim would be a fun swap. A touch of spice can be quite enjoyable with this cocktail.
Oasium Pegu Club
Since the Oasium is citrus forward, using the gin in a margarita, or sour cocktail, makes sense. Sometimes margaritas can be one note. This cocktail is more layered. It is time to rethink that beverage pairing with some popular Mexican food.
Ingredients:
2 ½ parts Hendrick’s OASIUM
1 part orange liqueur
½ part lime juice
½ part simple syrup
1 dash of aromatic bitters
Method:
Shake all in a cocktail shaker with ice and fine strain into a martini glass.
It is time to shake up some new drinking experiences with Hendrick’s Oasium. It is time to satisfy that curiosity about the uniqueness of this citrus forward gin.
