This summer is bound to be a hot one, so Starbucks is smartly assembling a refreshing menu to entice customers indoors with ice-cold drinks. Notably, the coffee chain will be launching four new Frappuccino flavors this July, though the exact dates for these drinks have not yet been confirmed.

According to Food & Wine, Starbucks will introduce the "Strato" style of Frappe—Strato is from the Latin word meaning "layered," a reference to the layered flavors to be found in this upcoming lineup.

Per the outlet, the drinks coming this July are the Firework Frappucino, Brown Sugar Strato Frappucino, Strawberry Matcha Strato Frappucino, and Salted Caramel Mocha Strato Frappucino. It sounds like the Firework Frappucino is likely going to be the first one released as the company wants to have it out in time for the Fourth of July, meaning it might arrive as soon as July 1.

Starbucks declined to comment on other specifics, but noted food blogger Markie Devo has shared what he knows about the upcoming late summer menu via Instagram.

Devo's post shares more specifics on each drink, offering a sneak peek at what frequent Starbucks visitors can anticipate.

  • Firework Frappucino: A burst of color with layers of ice and coconut milk, plus raspberry pearls, strawberry puree, and vanilla sweet cream cold foam
  • Salted Caramel Mocha Strato Frappucino: Starbucks already had a salted caramel-flavored drink in the past with the Caramel Ribbon Crunch, but it sounds like the new drink will be a creamy treat blending together salted caramel cold foam and the traditional mocha base.
  • Strawberry Matcha Strato Frappucino: Matcha is all the rage right now, with the lattes becoming extremely popular. Adding strawberry cream cold foam will make this the optimal summer drink.
  • Brown Sugr Strato Frappucino: Last but not least, the brown sugar drink will mix the coffee blend with brown sugar cold foam and a cinnamon finish.

The food blogger claims the Firework drink will be a special, limited-time item and will only be available from July 1 to July 7, so if you're interested in getting one you'll want to act fast. Given the many layers of the Firework Frappucino drink, I have to say that it's probably going to be a pain for the baristas to make and I can see why Starbucks has opted to only give it a small window to limit the hold-up and delays it could cause at the various stores.

Additionally, participating Starbucks locations are expected to bring back the beloved Double Chocolate Brownie treat. As someone who really enjoyed the Starbucks' brownie, I was surprised they removed it from the menu to begin with. I actually prefer their brownie to Chick-fil-A's fudgier one.

All of this comes at a time when Starbucks had previously eliminated nine of its blended Frappucino drinks as part of an effort to simplify their menu, so it's surprising to see the chain leading with them for this summer, especially with the offering of a drink as complex as the Firework Frappucino.
