As part of this partnership, Lacey Chabert graciously took some time to speak with FoodSided. Like many other people, Chabert shared how food has flavored many of her holiday traditions and memories.

She shared, "Russell Stover Chocolates was a huge part of our family traditions growing up. I remember walking into my grandparent’s kitchen and there would be a box in the middle of the dining room table. I was always so excited to break open that box. I’ve carried that holiday tradition into my own family. From stocking stuffers to having a box on my own dining room table, it is always part of our holiday celebrations.”

Similar to Chabert, that box of chocolates was a staple in my own home. The only difficulty was choosing the right, best, or tastiest chocolate from the box. My grandmother’s rule was once you touched it, there was no putting it back in the box.

Chabert has a slightly different approach. “ I like them all, especially the dessert inspired truffles. But, I have been known to take a bite of one and then put it back in the box for later. My family didn’t appreciate that. Now, once you’ve taken a bite, you get to eat the whole thing.”

Given that there are so many flavors in the Russell Stover Chocolates line-up, it can be hard to pick just one favorite. Chabert revealed a few of her current favorites from the dessert inspired truffles. She said, “the dark chocolate brownie is my absolute favorite. Red velvet, cheesecake, milk chocolate confetti, really, all of them are delicious because they are like little desserts. Even the classic pecan delights are a great choice. I grew up eating those.”

While enjoying a few of those chocolates have been a part of her family’s traditions, Chabert shared other activities that she does with her daughter. Beyond baking her grandmother’s coconut cake, she said, “I love that I get to create these moments with my daughter. We drive around looking at Christmas lights. My daughter loves the fun of Elf on a Shelf. Also, we make it a priority to spread holiday cheer to others who might need a little extra love during the holiday season. There are plenty of ways to be of service to others. There are many different ways that we can be there for each other and remind everyone that we are in this life together.”

Whether spreading that moment of cheerfulness comes with a box of chocolates, an act of kindness, or just an uplifting word, the holiday season is time to celebrate togetherness and gratitude. When asked for her holiday message for this year, Chabert spoke poignantly.

“I’m so thankful for this life, for the love and the support in my life. I feel incredibly blessed, especially this time of year. I am surrounded by friends, family, and love. I hope that everyone can feel a sense of community and find joy during this holiday season.”

While the holiday season can go by in a blink, Chabert’s Hallmark movies can bring a little sparkle throughout the year. Given the wide array of Russell Stover Chocolates flavors, there is a food and movie pairing for any and every occasion. From her many Christmas themed movies to even the Valentine’s truffle movie, it could become a new food tradition in many homes.

The sweetest memories are often tied to the food that connects one generation to the next. It is time to unbox another happy memory thanks to Russell Stover Chocolates.
