While some people might still be dreaming of summer days by the lake and bright, summer inspired beers, Leinie’s is ready to welcome the cooler temperatures of fall. To kick of the season, Leinie’s is bringing back two special brews, including one that people have been thirsting to see return.

As the Wisconsin weather changes to become a little more brisk, many beer drinkers gravitate towards the heartier, more robust beverages. Whether it is sitting in the basement watching a game or gathering by the firepit before the first snowfall, these seasonal beverage capture that warm, cozy vibe.

Even though some people might long for another sip of that Summer Shandy 365 days a year, others switch up their preferences. This year, Leinenkugel’s brought back two seasonal options that will quickly fly off the shelf. They are Leinie’s Red Lager and Big Eddy Imperial Stout.

Speaking about the two limited time offering beers, Tony Bugher, President of Leinenkugel’s  said “Bringing back Leinie’s Red Lager was a no-brainer given last year’s demand. It’s a beer many of our drinkers have enjoyed for years now and I’m proud we’ll have it on the shelves and on tap this coming year. I’m also really fired up about the return of Big Eddy. There’s so much romance and nostalgia for our Big Eddy brews that we couldn’t deny bringing it back after being in hibernation for over a decade. Our Big Eddy Imperial Stout is a delicious, big, bold and complex beer that I know drinkers are going to be clamoring for.”

The Red Lager is an easy drinking, fan-favorite beer. While it is only available in the Midwest and Smokey Mountain regions, it is a beer that is part of Leinie’s history. The Vienna-Style Lager has a hoppy finish, but the caramel notes make it approachable.

At 4.9% ABV, the beer is delightful enjoyed on its own or paired with a favorite food. From a hearty stew to a simple burger, the options are many.

The return of Big Eddy has many beer drinkers excited. It has been a decade since this Imperial Stout has been on the shelf. While there are many other stout offerings that make a splash during the winter months, the Leinie’s offering can hold its own.

Named after the Big Eddy Spring that is part of Chippewa Falls, the Imperial Stout is robust, hearty, and full of big flavors. While the chocolate and toffee notes bring a hint of sweetness, it is the signature hops that demand to take notice.

Big Eddy has a 9.5% ABV and it is a beer to be savored slowly. A perfect option for a leisurely night watching the fire ember glow. The beer is available while supplies last in the Midwest and Smokey Mountain regions.
