As people rush to get home, escape from work, or otherwise get away, holiday travel is bustling. Even though people long for the merriment of the season, airport travel can be a little disheartening on some days. Lindor is ready to unwrap a little sweetness for all.
People might love the idea of travel, but the hassle of getting to the destination can be overwhelming. From the TSA lines to the unruly seatmate, few people can have the luxurious moments that are described on screen. The don’ts are often more prevalent than then do’s.
Sometimes the little gesture can make travel more bearable. This holiday season, Lindor is making the layover a lot sweeter for guests traveling through Ronald Reagen Airport in DCA. The Lindor Layover is the perfect spot to linger in between those connections.
According to Melissa Mendoza, Vice President, Marketing at Lindt, “Traveling for the holidays can feel like something you just have to get through to reach your destination, family and loved ones. With the Lindor Layover, we’re giving travelers the opportunity to experience the magic of melting into a holiday moment while sampling premium Lindt Lindor truffles. We may not be able to do anything about delayed flights or unwanted stress – but we can offer travelers a moment of bliss with Lindor this holiday season!”
The Lindor Layover is going to be held December 19 and 20 from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m. at Ronald Reagan Airport (DCA), Concourse C. Travelers can walk through the holiday gift box and unwrap some samples of Lindt Lindor chocolate. Additionally, some lucky people will win prizes and other gifts.
Overall, this idea is a great way to spread some holiday cheer during a time when they could feel stressed. Sometimes a little piece of chocolate can and does make a difference. Just like a kind word to a gate agent or allowing a person to have the overhead bin spot, those gestures go a long way during the holiday season.
Even if people are not traveling through DCA, anyone can take the concept and apply it on their own. Why not buy a bag of those Lindt Lindor truffles and bring them to school, the kids’ game, or just keep a bag in the car for the drive-thru line. Sharing a little joy this holiday season is the sweetest gift.
