While theme parks offer thrills and beaches offer idyllic relaxation, another memorable moment awaits people when they choose to sit down at a table. The vibrant Florida dining scene calls both locals and visitors to its diverse restaurants. This Spring, Orlando will celebrate the best and the brightest at the annual Michelin Guide Florida ceremony.

From the Miami shores to the City Beautiful, Florida restaurants cover a wide array of cuisines. Within the state, diners can experience a bounty of fresh seafood or a journey to Asian inspired delicacies. That diversity makes the state a culinary destination.

When Michelin first came to Florida, Orlando held its first ceremony. The event is returning to the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at the Walt Disney World Resort. Over a few short years, a small list continues to see tremendous growth.

According to Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides, “We are excited to be back in Orlando to celebrate Florida’s culinary community and its many shining talents. We are even more thrilled to be welcoming the addition of Greater Fort Lauderdale, The Palm Beaches and St. Pete-Clearwater to this year’s selection as we continue to witness the state’s thriving culinary scene.”

Expanding into more cities is good for the Florida guide. It is more than just a designation to excite visitors to journey beyond the high profile locates to the surrounding areas. For example, the Palm Beaches are a great example. Not only is the area bustling, the annual food festival rivals other events across the state.

Bringing the ceremony back to Orlando is a smart choice. Whether it is the highly anticipated opening of Epic Universe or the 10th anniversary of Dr Phillips Center, the City Beautiful offers something for everyone, and that sentiment is seen in its dining experiences. From Victoria and Albert’s refined Disney dining to the innovative and welcoming Peruvian Papa Llama, diners can travel the globe in flavor within just a few short miles of each other.

While many people will speculate if there is a potential for a three-star restaurant in Florida or if a hidden gem will emerge amongst the list of favorites, the reality is that Michelin Guide is a boost to the state’s dining scene. From visitors to locals, these restaurants and the chefs behind them prove that the Sunshine State deserves to be part of the food conversation.

The Michelin Guide Florida ceremony will be held on April 17, 2025 at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at the Walt Disney World Resort. Currently in Florida, there is one two-star restaurant and 25 one-star restaurants. Additionally, there are 31 Bib Gourmand restaurants in the state.
