Peacock continues to bring innovative, creative, and flavorful food and travel programming. In its new series Eat, Slay, Love, the three-part series follows Nivea and her girlfriends on a journey of self-discovery while celebrating her birthday. In this exclusive clip provided to FoodSided, the ladies are ready to smash this cooking lesson.

As many people have come to appreciate, food and travel can offer a sense of self-discovery. From exploring new lands to tasting different cuisines, that willingness to step out of a comfort zone can awaken a new desire. When that journey is joined by great friends, the experience is even more rewarding.

In the new Peacock series, Eat, Slay, Love, Nieva heads to Vietnam to celebrate her 41st birthday. Joining her festivities are friends: Eva Marcille (The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club), Tammy Rivera (Love & Hip Hop Atlanta) and London Hughes (London Hughes: To Catch a D*ck). Across the three episodes, the ladies seek to discover the country’s beautiful landscape, spiritual complexities, and a few flavorful dishes along the way.

Peacock graciously offered FoodSided this exclusive clip from Eat, Slay Love to air prior to the November 7 series premiere.

As seen in the clip, the ladies attempt a cooking class. Although the exact dish is slightly unclear, the foursome happily tries their hand at the traditional cuisine. The innuendo and puns fly as they dice, chop, and fry the food.

In some ways, the laughter and jokes are vital to the overall experience. Not only does it make the novice cook feel more at ease, that lighthearted attitude can help flavor the dish. It might not be a chapter from the Like Water for Chocolate novel, but chefs appreciate that positivity in the kitchen makes for a more successful cooking experience.

While this short clip gives people a taste of what they can expect on Eat, Slay, Love, it does highlight a universally appreciated topic. Self-love, especially after heartache or during a particular life milestone, is vital for everyone. Leaning on friends to help guide that journey to a positive outlook makes the process even more fulfilling. Whether it is food, travel, or a combination of both, the reality is that life is better when opportunities are embraced. The couch might hold solace in the beginning, but never let it become an emotional fortress.

The three, 60 minute episodes of Eat, Slay, Love premiere on Peacock, November 7, 2024.
