As the countdown to Super Bowl LIX quickens, it is more than football fans whose excitement grows. New Orleans is a food destination. Since all types of food is better with Pepsi, the iconic cola beverage is ready to serve a bounty of delicious items at several special events.

Over the years, Pepsi has been an integral part of Super Bowl celebrations. A long time sponsor of the halftime show, the beverage brand understands that the pop culture event is more than just scoring touchdowns and recovering fumbles. It is a time when groups gather together to enjoy conversations, food, beverages, and good times.

This year, Pepsi will be hosting several events during Super Bowl weekend. The immersive experiences will give both visitors and locals an opportunity to feast on some of the most flavorful dishes from the city. Paired with a variety of Pepsi beverages, the whole event proves that spicy, sweet, and everything in between goes better with Pepsi.

As Scott Finlow, Chief Marketing Officer, PepsiCo Away From Home commented about the special events, “The Pepsi NOLA Eats Fest is about celebrating the classic New Orleans flavors that have made the city's cuisine renowned worldwide. From Cajun seasoning to seafood boils, we’re here to spotlight the delicious dishes the city’s local restaurants have to offer on game day and beyond, and how enjoying them with a Pepsi unlocks even more flavor.”

The events kick off with the Ultimate Seafood Showdown. Held on February 7 from 12-2 p.m. CT, the tailgate-style seafood showdown will crown a single Pepsi Super Bowl Boil Champion. As many people appreciate, the classic seafood boil is a New Orleans staple. From the bold seasoning to the abundance of food, it is time to feast until full.

The special event will feature local favorites. Everyone can vote for their preferred seafood boil spot via www.PepsiSuperBowlBoil.com. The top two vote getters will battle for supremacy at the event.

On February 7 and 8, Pepsi will host Pepsi NOLA Eats Fest. Hosted by Action Bronson, ten local restaurants will serve their infamous dishes. From BBQ to Italian to everything in between, this special event celebrates the culinary diversity in the Big Easy. For anyone who wants to better appreciate the flavor, community, and camaraderie of New Orleans, this event is the place to be.
