From the personal pan pizza people remember as a child to the hand tossed crust loved today, Pizza Hut appreciates that tapping into the experience of eating the perfect slice is vital to keeping fans engaged. Pizza culture is more than drizzling a swicy sauce or putting Korean ingredients on a slice. As Pizza Hut introduces Pizza Caviar, this pop of creativity will have people looking at the slice completely differently.
The idea of a “bougie” pizza can take many forms. Wolfgang Puck brought California cuisine to Spago's pizza decades ago. Today’s slice can have uber expensive ingredients, sparkle with toppings, and pile unusual toppings high.
Recently, Pizza Hut decided to transform its flavorful pepperoni into a popping, flavorful experience. This form of Pizza Caviar takes that “bump” trend and makes it a little more approachable for all palates.
According to Melissa Friebe, Chief Marketing Officer of Pizza Hut, “As a brand that’s always pushing the boundaries of what pizza culture can be, we saw an opportunity to take one of today’s biggest food trends and make it our own. Pizza Caviar is our way of bringing a touch of indulgence, while staying true to the flavors people love from Pizza Hut.”

What is Pizza Hut Pizza Caviar?
This creative concept is not just taking the high low trend to the masses. Instead of putting caviar on a pizza, Pizza Hut has created Pizza Caviar. The “pearls” are created to taste like pepperoni. The special bites are meant to dip, dunk, and even bump.
This idea is a fun way to make “caviar” approachable to the masses. Chefs have used this concept to bring “popping bubbles” to a variety of dishes. Those little flavor bursts are fun. Not only does it make for a creative visual, but it is a great texture to a dish.
