Everyone is buzzing about the newest Honey Bee-stro offerings at Epcot

During the annual Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, the bountiful, delicious food and beverage offerings are tremendous. Always a favorite stop, the Honey Bee-stro, presented by the National Honey Board, delights guests with sweet and savory dishes that showcase honey’s versatility.

For some, honey might seem like a sweetener for tea or an ingredient in a dessert. While those scenarios are true, honey can be used in a variety of ways. As seen with people’s infatuation with hot honey, it has become a flavor booster on pizza, chicken wings, a plethora of other dishes.

At the Honey Bee-stro, the National Honey Board, in collaboration with Disney chefs, serves dishes that push people’s appreciation of honey. The food offerings showcase the different applications that honey offers.

For example, the Honey-glazed Cauliflower is a highlight of the 2024 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. While it is a vegetable forward dish, the dish is light yet also quite filling. For anyone who think that vegetable forward dishes are just a bowl of greens will have their minds changed with this dish.

One of the reasons why this dish satisfies is the contrasting textures. The velvety smooth honey-roasted carrot puree contrasts with the sunflower brittle. The roasted cauliflower with a slight char balances the juicy sweetness from the honey-blistered grapes. It is a celebration of every flavor note and showcases the nuance that honey offers.

Whether eaten on its own or paired with the Copperpoint Brewing Co Bee’s Squeeze Blonde Ale, it is a lovely dish on a warm Spring day. It might even get people to eat an extra serving of vegetables and be happy about it.
