While many people know that curiously strong mint is an instant breath refresher, Altoids is opening another conversation around the table. In collaboration with New York’s Bad Roman, this tin will become a hot commodity.

Dining at a restaurant is full of many experiences. While the food should always be memorable, the ambiance is equally as vital. In addition to snapping photos in the moment, people often like to take a memento. It serves as a reminder to the time shared around the table.

At New York City’s Bad Roman, their specialty matchbooks have become the “it” item. What used to be a standard at many high end restaurants has become a statement with a younger crowd. Altoids is taking that idea and transforming it.

In partnership with the restaurant, the brand has created a special tin and menu that takes that curiously strong mint in a new direction. First, the classic peppermint tin has been transformed with some elements that instantly identify the restaurant. Whether that tins holds Altoids for months to come or becomes a holder for something else, it does not matter. It serves as a visual reminder for the special dinner.

More importantly, the pair have collaborated on a limited time menu. The multi-course menu features dishes inspired by those classic peppermints. From the pasta course with an Altoid chaser to a mint infused dessert, these fun food options will have people talking.

Speaking about this special event, Maria Urista, Vice President, Gum and Mints at Mars Wrigley North America said, “ALTOIDS is known for its curiously strong mints and iconic tin, which is often reused by consumers even after they've enjoyed the last mint. Through our partnership with Bad Roman, we're showcasing the efficacy of our powerful mints against notoriously delicious, yet strong, flavors and creating a unique memento for diners that will live well beyond a night out."

Dinner reservations for this Bad Roman event are open now and can be made at https://www.badromannyc.com/. The event runs until October 1.

For people hungry for this special offering but who are not in NYC, Big Night and Altoids are offering a special "After Any Dinner" boxes. These boxes are inspired by the Bad Roman experience and will turn any dinner into a curiously strong event.
