New York City is a food town, and it is equally connected to pop culture history. In honor of the new Audible podcast, “The Godfather: A Film We Can’t Refuse,” NYC locals can feast on a delicious cannoli from the city’s famous Pasticceria, Ferrera Bakery.

The Godfather is one of the most well-known and beloved stories. While some people might work infamous quotes into their casual conversation, others just have an appreciation for a well-crafted tale and memorable performances.

The new Audible Original Podcast, “The Godfather: A Film We Can’t Refuse” does a deep dive not only into the award winning performances from the legendary cast but also examines its influence on culture. Whether it is an infamous kiss or a perfectly delivered line, there are many moments that have become part of common knowledge.

Led by Rebecca Keegan, acclaimed senior film editor at The Hollywood Reporter, the podcast will feature insight from cast members including:  Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, Robert De Niro, and Talia Shire. This series is more than just discussing facts. It will be going into the hows and whys people are so enthralled with The Godfather.

To celebrate this new Audible podcast, the brand is using the annual The Feast of San Gennaro to garner excitement for it. On Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14, Cannoli Carts at the Little Italy location will be giving away free cannolis from  Ferrara Bakery.

For those unfamiliar with Ferrara Bakery, it is America's first Pasticceria. Started in 1892, the Little Italy icon is as famous in the food world as The Godfather is in the movie world.

Ferrera Bakery’s cannolis are a decadent, delicious dessert. The hand dipped chocolate shell is filled with orange cream and studded with mini chocolate chips.

During the special event, Audible will give away 2,000 free cannolis each day. Given the popularity of these desserts, it is best to line up early to enjoy one of these “The Godfather” cannolis.

The special giveaway will be held at Mulberry Street between Houston and Prince Street on September 13 from 4-8 p.m. and September 14 from 5-9 p.m.
