After a hugely successful refire menu revamp, Blaze Pizza continues to reimagine its food offerings. More importantly, new menu category gives back beyond the table.

Pizza lovers have come to expect more from Blaze Pizza. While the brand has excelled with the fast, fired, and even customizable pies, the company appreciates that it needs to toss a few food trends into the mix.

The newest menu item, the Spicy Pepperoni Fast Fire’d Fold is the first offering in a whole new product category for the brand. Similar to pizza offerings, like calzones and strombolis, the rounded pizza dough is folded into a long rectangle. Tucked in between that dough is a heaping about of three cheeses, jalapenos and pepperoni.

The Fold is finished with either the Spicy Chili Oil or Sweet Hot Honey. Served with a side of red sauce, guests can have as little or as much sauce as they prefer with every bite.

Earlier this summer, I was given an opportunity to taste this Spicy Pepperoni Fast Fire’d Fold at a media event. While everyone loves the iconic Blaze house-made fresh dough on its traditional pizzas, the fold highlights the delicious foundation for all those other ingredients. Always light, slightly crisp, stands up to the bold flavors yet is never overshadowed.

Additionally, the combination of pepperoni and jalapenos is delicious. While some people might be spice adverse, the combination of mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan tempers the spice. The kick is never muted, but it is the slow burn that makes every bite even more enjoyable.

Since the Fold can be customized with either the Spicy Chili Oil or the Sweet Hot Honey, I would recommend the Sweet Hot Honey. That sweetness with the savory pepperoni and the spicy jalapeno makes for a perfectly balanced bite. The Spicy Chili Oil is good, but the Sweet Hot Honey is better.

Even though many people have their favorite Blaze Pizza order, there is an even more endearing reason to order the new Spicy Pepperoni Fast Fire’d Fold. The specialty menu item benefits Folds of Honor.

For those unfamiliar with the nonprofit, it provides “educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America's fallen and disabled service members.” During the summer event, members of Folds of Honor and past recipients were on hand for the announcement.

As Christian Kuhn, Chief Marketing Officer of Blaze Pizza  said, “Partnering with Folds of Honor is truly a proud moment in my career. Dining at Blaze Pizza has always been a positive experience for our guests and now they have the opportunity to feel good about supporting an organization that helps many deserving children and families across the U.S.”

During the summer kick off event at Disney Springs, Blaze Pizza donated $10,000 to Folds of Honor. In addition, to a portion of the specialty menu item sales being donated, guests can round up their checks as a donation to the organization.

This commitment to give back is fired into everything that Blaze Pizza does. From the new Folds supporting Folds of Honor to internal programs that help team members on a personal level, it showcases the brands appreciation that food nourishes beyond the table. Choosing the harder right is never easy, but consumers want to align with brands that appreciate the community around them as much as the food they serve to the guest.

The new Spicy Pepperoni Fast Fire’d Fold joins other new menu items, including Spicy Pepperoni Pizza, Spicy Cheesy Bread, and Spicy Meatball Bowl. Additionally, Blaze Pizza added its first dessert pizza earlier this summer as well as several reimagined menu items.
