International Women’s Day is a highlight of Women’s History Month. Although one day to celebrate the large, small, and many accomplishments of women around the world might seem fleeting, it is more than a single moment in time. For Dannon Light + Fit, its new campaign turns a visual into a reminder that empowerment should always be part of the conversation.

From women led companies to brands that seamless fit into women’s lives, the power of the woman consumer is great. Whether it is mom doing the weekly shopping for the family or the influencer who bends the ear of those many fans, the reality is that women impact the food sitting on the shelf, in the refrigerator, and on the table.

Given that women are decision makers, brands need to be aware of that power base. It is more than a supportive phrase that makes everyone feel good. Companies who choose to support, nurture, and grow that women-driven entrepreneurship can build a loyal customer base.

Recently, Dannon Light + Fit announced its FFC Grant Program with the Female Founder Collective. The program will support five female entrepreneurs with funding and mentorship. The hope is that the programming will provide a solid foundation from which the women can grow and develop their business vision for years to come.

Although that program might not be seen in the local community, Dannon Light + Fit has a visual reminder front and center on store shelves. The Light + Fight Empowering Women Artist Series packs, designed by Brazilian artist and illustrator, Camila Rose, are designed to serve as a reminder to see beyond just another food that fuels the day.

Being strong, powerful, and independent is a personal choice, but one that benefits everyone. From the young girl who feels confident to answer the question in the classroom to the business woman who does not back down during confrontation, it all starts with one small step. Just like picking up the spoon to eat a favorite yogurt to start the day, every decision matters.

The Light + Fight Empowering Women Artist Series packs can be found at stores now. They are available in Lemon Cream, Orange Cream and Peach Fat Free Yogurts. Check with retailers for availability and pricing.
