Deadpool has a new favorite food and it's only at Jack in the Box
It might not be that fast casual restaurant in Jacksonville, but Jack in the Box Mini Chimi Bang Bangs have Deadpool swooping in and placing an order. Move over chimichangas because there is a new favorite food on the table.
With the highly anticipated new “Deadpool and Wolverine” movie heading to theaters, many food and beverage brands are taking that witty, sometimes snarky, character off the screen and onto the table. Jack in the Box has a special offering that the Mexican food and Deadpool lover will want to devour.
Even though Deadpool brings big energy, the special Jack in the Box food offering is a small yet mighty food. In some ways, it might be channeling those Deadpool tiny hands moment that fans might remember. Sometimes great things come in small packages.
The special Deadpool offering, Mini Chimi Bang Bangs, will be available from July 15 through September 15. Jack in the Box app users can get early access starting on July 8.
According to the quick service restaurant brand, the Mini Chimi Bang Bangs are available in two options, Southwest Chicken and Sauced and Loaded Southwest Chicken. Both options feature the seasoned, shredded chicken mixed with corn, black beans, and southwest flavors. The loaded option adds cheddar cheese, lettuce and taco sauce. The regular version serves taco sauce on the side.
The three piece Mini Chimi Bang Bangs can be ordered on their own or in a Jack’s Fan Favs Box. The box includes curly fries, onion rings, and churros with sauce. Check with local restaurants for availability and pricing.
To celebrate this special offering, Jack in the Box will have a variety of special merchandise and giveaways. From a Deadpool themed antenna ball to limited edition packs with special artwork, there are plenty of options that Deadpool fans will be running to snag.
Given the popularity of the character and the movie, this food collaboration could drive a lot of business to Jack in the Box. While the value meal conservation continues to get big airplay, many people are willing to spend the extra dollar to get a special themed meal, especially if there is a collectible item or photo opportunity associated with it. It might not be the juvenile toy but there is a serving of happiness in this movie promotion.
