Dunkin’s Dunkalatte takes the coffee conversation in a new direction
As the fall season eases into those cooler temperatures and pumpkin flavors, Dunkin’s Dunkalatte is a different take for the coffee juggernaut. It is time to let the secret out about this regional coffee favorite.
The coffee space is crowded. Sometimes, the location often determines a preferred beverage. In the Northeast, Dunkin is often king. It has people running to get that classic roast and a donut.
For the fall, a new coffee beverage comes to the national menu, the Dunkalatte. For people who are over all the baking spices and prefer to eat apples than drink them, this sweet, creamy coffee might be the perfect sip.
Drawing inspiration from Rhode Island’s official beverage, coffee milk, the Dunkalatte is a creamy, rich coffee. While Dunkin’s espresso gives it a robust coffee base, the whole milk adds lusciousness. Although it might not necessarily be as creamy as a milkshake, it is more creamy coffee.
Adding this regional favorite could open a whole new category to the coffee giant’s menu. While Dunkin mentioned that there would be more items “brewing,” the speculation on what those items could be is too much to narrow down. From flavors to types of milk, there are plenty of options to expand the Dunkalatte.
Dunkin joins the value meal craze.
Since every quick service restaurant seems to have a value meal, it makes sense that Dunkin would join the conversation. Even if people tend to run on Dunkin, saving some extra dollars is a priority.
The $6 Meal Deal is a hearty offering that is definitely value forward. Included in the meal is a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich, Hash Browns, and a Medium Hot or Iced Coffee (14-24 ounces).
Dunkin says that this promotion is available for a limited time, but the exact duration is not known. Given that other restaurants have extended their value meal promotions, it seems that the savings might last all season long.
Ready to run to Dunkin? From new coffees to saving money, there are plenty of reasons to hit the drive-thru.
