As the ready to drink cocktail market continues to grow, beverage brands need to find their way to set themselves apart. Happy Thursday non-carbonated beverages from Molson Coors bring an extra pour of jubilance to any day of the week.

While another beer brand might have its own “time” at the bar and others end the week with a boisterous happy hour, the descriptive word can set the expectations when sipping on that libation. When it is time to turn that frown upside down, a little happy pour can make the day brighter.

The new Happy Thursday beverages capture two emerging trends, non-carbonated drinks and refreshers. While these canned cocktails will not be found at the drive-thru, the fruit forward, slightly sweet offerings bring the fun with every can.

Speaking to the beverage launch, Amanda DeVore, senior director for marketing innovation at Molson Coors said, “Happy Thursday is a flavorful spiked refresher that will set the weekend feel-it’s smooth, bubble-free, with refreshing flavor. This delicious line is our first-of-its-kind entry in the flavored alcohol category, and we know our fans are going to experience love at first sip.”

What are the Happy Thursday flavors?

According to Molson Coors, Happy Thursday comes in four flavors: Strawberry, Pineapple Starfruit, Mango Passionfruit, and Black Cherry. Looking at the flavors, they are both approachable and innovative.

The Strawberry and Black Cherry are slightly expected options for a beverage launch. Many people appreciate a sweet, juicy cocktail that can pair with almost any food. Whether drunk with some bar snacks or enjoyed with sweet or spicy food, these two flavors will have mass appeal.

The most interesting flavor of the four Happy Thursday flavors is Pineapple Starfruit. Starfruit is not normally featured in cocktails. While the fruit’s appearance makes it a popular choice on a fruit plate, the slightly sour note can be unexpected.

By combining starfruit with pineapple, brings the sweet and sour together in a tropical, juicy way. This beverage might not necessarily have people identifying the two different fruits but the sweet yet tart note will leave them thirsty for more.

Thinking about these non-carbonated beverages, they allow people to bring a little flare to the glass. Beyond the simple garnish, the lack of bubbles makes it easier to have some fun. Whether it is blending the libation with some fresh pineapple or infusing some fruit with the spirit, it invites people to be creative. Bringing a little happy to any and every day makes drinking more engaging.

Happy Thursday is available in 12-pack variety packs, a 16-oz Strawberry, and a 24-oz Strawberry and Pineapple Starfruit singles. Each can is 4.4% ABV and a 12 oz can has less than 10 grams of sugar per serving.
