January 2024 food television highlights: Kick off the New Year with deliciousness
While many people are resolving to strive for healthy eating habits or maybe to cook at home more, popular chefs could help make those resolutions more successful. Luckily, the new episodes of January 2024 food television shows serve as a blueprint for a flavorful year ahead.
Hell’s Kitchen American Dream
The spirited FOX competition returns, and the remaining chefs vie for the coveted black jackets. While a few favorites have been dismissed and a divisive chef continues to survive, a few chefs continue to get praise from Gordon Ramsay.
As the new episodes return on January 4, only a few more challenges remain to determine which chef will open the door to a position as executive chef. Will an unexpected chef earn the title and fulfil the ultimate culinary American Dream?
Hell’s Kitchen Season 22, American Dream, airs on FOX Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes can be streamed the next day on Hulu.
Worst Cooks in America: Spoiled Rotten
While Anne Burrell has turned many kitchen disasters into success stories, she has a new element to tackle. Tiffany Derry takes over the blue team. After her many turns helping resolve impossible restaurant disasters, it will be interesting to see how she helps these worst cooks.
The new season, Worst Cooks in America: Spoiled Rotten, features recruits who rarely lift a finger. From the delivery divas to relying on mom, it is time to use the oven as it was intended, not as a storage unit.
The new Worst Cooks season premieres on Sunday, January 7 at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes can be streamed the next day on MAX.
Next Level Chef Season 3
After crowning two winners in this fast paced, spirited culinary competition, Next Level Chef Season 3 adds a new “level” for the chefs to conquer. For the new season, the chefs, whether home, pro, or social media, must earn a spot on the mentor’s roster. Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington, and Richard Blais prepare to guide the talented culinary group to victory. The audition rounds might be tougher than running to the platform to grab the best protein.
Although many professional chefs have rose to the occasion in this culinary competition, it is often the home and social media chefs that inspire other cooks. The fearlessness to combine unique flavors or push the boundaries given the parameters can help others step out of their comfort zone.
More importantly, the whole premise of beating a "level's constraints" and the platform ingredients is something that many home cooks battle on a daily basis. Who has looked at a pantry and said, there is nothing to eat? Or, what about having to choose a particular food based on budgetary or availability limitations? Next Level Chef might not be a culinary how-to video, but there are plenty of cooking lessons to learn in each challenge.
Next Level Chef Season 3 has a special preview episode on January 28, following the NFC Championship Game. Its time period premiere will air on Thursday, February 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes will be available the next day on Hulu.
Kids Baking Championship
Kids Baking Championship Season 12 has the young bakers listening to the school bell ring. With this season focusing on elements from the school year, everyone will appreciate the sense of nostalgia.
Kids Baking Championship airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET and can be streamed the next day on MAX.
These January 2024 food television shows are just a few of the many options to watch. Plus, the rest of the year looks to be full of tasty options. From a new season of Top Chef and MasterChef to Spring Baking Championship and Tournament of Champions, there will be plenty of food television shows to watch.
