While Next Level Chef Season 3 episode 11 might have the teams hoping that their “Squad Goals” will lead to victory, Team Blais will need to overcome some basement woes. As seen in this exclusive clip from the episode, the farm to table concept might need more than a stroke of good fortune to make this food pairing grow into a cohesive meal progression.

In Next Level Chef Season 3, the competition has been fierce, but the curse has brought havoc. While the top-level kitchen was once the goal, it appears that the chefs might prefer the bare bones basement. The fall from top to bottom might be great, but the basement seems to keep the team safe from elimination.

Next Level Chef Season 3 episode 11 takes the individual chef out of the equation for a team challenge. Although each team has seen the benefit of a top dish saving a chef with a huge mistake, this progressive meal is more difficult. Communication and a clear vision can earn high praise at the judging table.

FOX graciously gave FoodSided this exclusive clip from Next Level Chef Season 3 episode 11, “Squad Goals.” While Richard Blais and his team might have learned to love the basement kitchen, sometimes the platform offerings are not gifts from the culinary gods. In this case, finding a connection to that farm to table concept might require a creative story and a little luck.

Although in the previous episode Zach might have gone off the rails with his flavor combination, he has been a shining star in Next Level Chef Season 3. If anyone can find a way a connection between octopus and rabbit in a three-course meal, it will be Zach.

Blais said that these proteins might have been the hardest yet, but there could be some redemption for Zach. He has cooked octopus before. Hopefully, he leaves the goat cheese off the plate in this challenge.

In addition, cooking rabbit in the limited amount of time is the hardest part. If Zach can pull off this protein, he should be able to keep his immunity pin for another round.

While some eliminated chefs have preferred the basement environment, there are downsides to the sub-par equipment. Not being able to know the oven’s temperature is a detriment, especially when cooking rabbit. If Team Blais can pull out a win in the basement kitchen, it is a testament to their ability to adapt no matter the ingredients that they are dealt. Could Team Blais chef earn the Next Level Chef title this year? Everyone will have to watch the rest of the season.

Could the “Squad Goals” finally break the Next Level Chef Season 3 curse or will the team challenge only prove that the culinary competition has bad juju in that top kitchen? Be sure to watch the new episode Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. Episodes can be streamed the next day on Hulu.
