While the three finalists’ excitement to see Chef Tucker in the kitchen was obvious, her advice was clear. Do not leave anything behind. It might be a simple statement, but it is a profound one. No one wants to have regrets.

Even if a safe cook might be comfortable, it never wins food television titles. The judges want to see growth. Given that the three remaining chefs come from each of the categories, professional chef, social media chef, and home cook, they need to showcase that they are not defined by that description. This meal needs to prove that they have listened and applied the feedback throughout the season.

Given that a 1-year mentorship is a fundamental component of winning Next Level Chef, that ability to adapt, listen, and apply knowledge is key. The whole goal of this food television experience is to catapult a chef to the next stage of greatness. If the judges do not see that fire, excitement, and hunger in the finale meal, that chef might not win the title.

While many people will be cheering for their favorite chef, it is impossible to pick a winner. Christina, Gabi, and Zach have had impressive dishes and have faced elimination. It will really come down to which chef has the best total meal.
