Samuel Adams Our American Dream Cookbook celebrates culinary trailblazers
When Jim Koch took the first steps to brew Samuel Adams beer over 40 years ago, the craft beer movement was just starting. Even though it was a risk, he knew that a well-made, flavorful brew would find its audience. Today, the beer brand continues to support culinary trailblazers and their willingness to forge a new path. As part of the Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream program, the new Samuel Adams Our American Dream Cookbook invites everyone to enjoy a taste of entrepreneurial success.
Even though the internet is full of recipes, those simple how-to instructions sometimes lose the essence of that a recipe can really be. Beyond the exact measurements and balanced flavors, a recipe can be a taste of culture, a glimpse into a family archive, and a celebration of ingredients. In a way, every dish has a story to be told through a recipe.
In the Samuel Adams Our American Dream Cookbook, the more than 100 dishes are both tempting in their tastes and inspiring in their stories. Submitted by craftspeople from across the country, the 80 different small business owners celebrate what it means to pursue and achieve the American Dream.
Jennifer Glanville Love, author and director of partnerships & collaborations at Boston Beer Company said, “It’s been my privilege all these years working with Brewing the American Dream to see firsthand the power, vision and determination of our country’s brightest food and beverage entrepreneurs. I’m so honored to help tell the incredible stories of just a fraction of the thousands of craftspeople we’ve welcomed into our family. We all have a dream we would chase if given the opportunity and we make it our mission to ensure that every entrepreneur brave enough to take that leap has all of the resources they need. Our deepest hope is that each recipe within this book leaves the reader with a full belly, an even fuller heart and the inspiration to do what they love.”
From the novice cook to the person who has every kitchen gadget at their disposal, this cookbook has everything for everyone. Plant-based recipes sit side by side with indulgent burgers.
Plus, several of the offerings showcase Samuel Adams beers. While not always a food and beverage pairing, there are options where people can better appreciate how to cook with beer, how to compliment flavors, and why sometimes it is just about choosing the pairing that just feels right.
Even though the pages have a bounty of delicious food offerings, it is more than just recipes without a purpose. At the heart of this collection is a celebration of people who were willing to pursue their dream. Their success is meant to inspire others to take the chance and embrace what is possible. When food can do more than just curb a hunger or satisfy a craving, its nourishment is never ending.
The Samuel Adams Our American Dream Cookbook is available Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million and other retailers. It is distributed by Simon & Schuster Distribution Services.
