Subway has evolved its menu tremendously over the past several months. From new wraps to snacks, the food variety gives guests variety. Now, the quick service restaurant slices off a piece of the value meal conversation and the footlong deal is just what people are craving.

The value meal wars are the primary topic within the quick service restaurant world. When a meal costs more than $10, people are going to keep driving to the next stop. The brand loyal is not as big of a driver as keeping money in the wallet.

While Subway has had various promotions, its newest food offer is a throwback to what made the brand famous. The new $6.99 footlong deal is just what people want.

As Doug Fry, President, Subway North America said, “Today's diner is stretched more than ever, and too often that means a tradeoff on quality, variety or flavor to find an affordable meal. At Subway, our definition of value is a mix of delicious options at the right price without compromising quality. Our menu is full of footlongs for every budget, and this new deal means our guests can get the sandwiches they crave at a great value."

The $6.99 footlong deal runs August 26 through September 8. The deal applies to any sub on the menu. With 22 options, guests can enjoy a different meal every day and never run out of something new.

Also, guests can customize their sub. From the person who wants extra black olives to the guest that craves heaping amounts of jalapenos, the sandwich artists are always ready, willing, and able to make the guests happy with their order.

In some ways, that footlong could be two meals. The sandwich could easily be enjoyed partly for lunch and the other part for dinner. It is not necessarily a leftover, but it is another way to add value to money spent.
