Toast to World Oceans Day with a gin that supports ocean conservation
From a sunny day frolicking on the sand to staring into the darkness as the waves crash ashore, the ocean holds endless wonder. On World Oceans Day, consider raising a glass to nature’s wonder with some Gray Whale Gin cocktails that look to conserve that resource.
Consumer trends show that many people gravitate towards food and beverage brands that align with their point of view. It might be supporting a cause, a connection to their heritage, or the business’ decision to give back to charity.
Gray Whale Gin is an American gin that uses its brand to educate gin drinkers on ocean conservation. While its bottle might have Easter eggs that reveal the botanicals used to create the spirit, it is more than just a captivating image.
According to the gin brand, every purchase of Gray Whale Gin “gives back to 1% for the Planet and Oceana.” These two organizations focus on ocean conservation.
While many people appreciate the company’s decision to give back, the wild harvested botanicals add to the sublime flavor. Drawing inspiration from the California Gray Whale’s migratory path, the sustainably sourced botanicals include Juniper (Big Sur), Limes (Temecula Valley), Fir Trees (Sonoma), Sea Kelp (Mendocino Coast), Mint (Santa Cruz) and Almonds (Central Valley). All these ingredients combined with a palate pleasing citrus flavor makes for a very approachable gin.
