While the brand’s Chief Fruit Officer has voiced his emphatic approval of Welch’s “Wholly Fruit” status, another snack joins the brand’s line-up. It is time to roll out a new fruity option, Welch’s Absolute Fruitfuls Strips.

Fruit snacks are a staple in many households. While kids might appreciate a package in their school lunches, adults are known to snag a package or two for a mid-day treat. Sometimes that snack even works as a pre-workout pick me up before a long run.

While there will always be a place for those little bite sized options, changing up the serving method can add a new layer of enjoyment. It might not necessarily be playing with food, but ripping, folding, or otherwise breaking pieces of a strip of fruit can add an extra smile to the eating enjoyment.

The newest product innovation from Welch’s Fruit Snacks is Welch’s Absolute Fruitfuls Strips. Available in three flavors, Strawberry, Mango-Peach and Berry Medley, all three flavors contain “whole fruit” as the main ingredient.

Speaking to this new offering, Michael Scalera, Director, Marketing, at PIM Brands Inc., makers of Welch’s® Fruit Snacks said, "As a brand that has been synonymous with premium fruit snacks for generations, Welch’s Fruit Snacks is proud to introduce Welch’s Absolute Fruitfuls, a testament to our commitment to innovation and quality. Our amazing new fruit strips redefine the snacking experience, combining the goodness of whole fruit with an irresistible soft and non-sticky texture.”

The key to this product’s success is the non-sticky texture. Any parent knows that sticky fingers are not a good idea. Not only can that texture less to a mess, but it creates an unpleasant eating experience. There is only one time to lick your fingers after a meal, and it is not with a fruit snack.

Additionally, the three flavors are a smart choice for Welch’s. The Berry Medley and Strawberry are classics with wide ranging appeal.

The Mango-Peach is a creative option. While the mango flavor brings a tropical note and the peach offer juiciness, it brings something new to the table. Mango and peach are not common food pairings, but the contrasting sweet notes should work well together.

The new  Welch’s Absolute Fruitfuls Strips are available at various retailers, including Walmart, Kroger, Publix, and more. The suggested retail price is $4.99 a box.
