Sitting by the shore, eating a bounty of seafood is an iconic image. With a bib tied around the neck, everyone is eager to crack into claws, dip in butter, and devour all that delicious food. Red Lobster added Seafood Boils to the menu for its annual Crabfest and they are a must order.
Time and again, Red Lobster understands that people want more with their meal. While the iconic Cheddar Bay Biscuits always arrive to start the meal, the reality is that people long for a feast. It is one of the reasons why people eagerly await the special, limited time offerings, like Crabfest.
According to Nichole Robillard, Chief Marketing Officer of Red Lobster, “Red Lobster’s Crabfest is the ultimate summer dining experience, featuring exciting and flavorful dishes like our new Seafood Boils. Whether you're a longtime Red Lobster lover or participating in Crabfest for the first time, we've got something to bring everyone joy."
This year, Red Lobster added Seafood Boils to the Crabfest menu. The two offerings are: Mariner’s Boil and Sailor’s Boil. Each one can be customized with Roasted Garlic Butter, Cajun Butter, or Old Bay seasoning.
The Mariner’s Boil is a gigantic meal. It features: Maine lobster tail, a dozen shrimp, snow crab legs, corn, and red potatoes. Although it is not necessarily a shareable meal, it is an option for people with a hearty appetite. The combination of seafood is a great choice for people who want a little bit of everything.
The Sailor’s Boil is for the shrimp lover. It includes: a mix of shrimp, smoked sausage, corn, and red potatoes. This meal would be delicious with the Cajun Butter. The combination of a little spice with the sweet shrimp and smoked sausage would be delicious.
What other new food items join the 2025 Crabfest menu?
According to Red Lobster, there are five new Crabfest dishes. They are: Crabby Stuffed Mushrooms, Crab-Topped Asparagus, Crab-Topped Potato, Steak Oscar, and Salmon Oscar.
Looking at the crab-centric menu items, the Crab-Topped Asparagus and the Crab-Topped Potato are wonderful choices. A little twist to a classic food is always a good idea. This concept is one that diners can easily adapt to their own kitchen. Sometimes simple ideas are the ones that resonate with people.
In a way, these dishes turn a side dish into a main meal. While Red Lobster is serving them as a side dish, they are quite filling. In a world where portion sizes matter, people can see the value of having a little extra on the plate.
Red Lobster’s Crabfest runs now through September 14, 2025. Check with local restaurants for availability and pricing.
