Universal Horror Unleashed is the ultimate year-round horror immersive experience
While the fog from Halloween Horror Nights is set to fade into memory, another frightening experience will have people screaming all year long. Universal Horror Unleased is coming to Las Vegas. Unlike the classic travel tagline, these frightening experiences will stay in people’s minds.
As an anchor of the AREA15 immersive entertainment district, Universal Horror Unleased combines haunted houses with immersive food and beverage experiences. It is set to bring the scary at every turn.
As Page Thompson, President of New Ventures for UDX, said “Universal’s rich history in the creation of the horror genre drove our desire to bring a year-round horror experience to the incredible entertainment offerings in Las Vegas. We’re thrilled to have our award winning Creative and Entertainment teams working tirelessly to bring these terrors to life in 2025.”
The four haunted houses will include: Universal Monsters, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scarecrow: The Reaping and Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer. While some of these themes have been featured in Halloween Horror Nights events, it seems likely that these offerings will be intense and unlike what people have seen previously.
Additionally, there will be four themed and immersive areas. Joining the food and beverage offerings, there will be unique live entertainment. Whether that means scarezones, performances, or just interactive character moments remains to be seen.
The immersive nature will bring people back time and again. While there will be a sense of familiar, it is also different every time. That scenario lures guests to the experience.
As the scary event evolves, one thing will always be the focus, making people face their deepest fears. Although this experience will not be extreme, it is not meant for the faint of heart. Given all the other entertainment experiences in Las Vegas, Universal Horror Unleased needs to be bold, over the top, and a moment that will have everyone sharing how those frights made them react.
Universal Horror Unleashed is set to open in 2025. The exact opening date has not been announced.
