San Francisco should start preparing for ice cream delight. The Museum of Ice Cream is coming to San Francisco.

The uber popular, sold out Museum of Ice Cream has announced its newest location. San Francisco will host the museum dedicated to delicious ice cream. Tickets for the exhibit will go on sale on August 25. Who’s ready to enjoy a scoop?

The Museum of Ice Cream isn’t your typical museum experience. Instead of looking at paintings and dinosaurs, visitors are encouraged to play. Specifically to play with a favorite food, ice cream. The ten different rooms are an immersive experience for guests. Created by museum staff, these unique experiences give everyone a chance to have a little fun.

According to the museum, the ten rooms offer several interactive elements. These elements include “a magical candy garden, psychedelic rainbow unicorns, a push pop installation, a cherry on top sky, the renowned Sprinkle Pool and new tastings, including an original Museum of Ice Cream flavor.” Even though this exhibit could be seem like a kids’ museum, the exhibit is fun for all ages.

Certain foods evoke happiness, bring smiles and are inherently fun. Ice cream is one of those foods. So many people can remember the ice cream truck’s music calling to them across the neighborhood. From the classic ice cream sandwich to a simple ice cream cone, these nostalgic ice cream treats can bring back happy memories. This ice cream exhibit hopes to bring a little happiness to its guests.

Overall, this ice cream exhibit is about imagination. Growing up, playing with food wasn’t allowed. But, in this ice cream museum, everyone can swim in a pool of sprinkles. It is almost as if Willy Wonka’s factory has come to life in an ice cream filled delight. Everyone can play, imagine and have fun.

According to the museum, “Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco opens September 17th from 11am-10pm, Wednesday-Monday. Tickets include half a dozen tastings and edible treats! Tickets are $38 per person and are available in advance online-only.”
