Pumpkin spice latte cocktail, finally a pumpkin spice drink I want to drink

Everyone is gulping down their pumpkin spice lattes, but aren’t there better tasting versions of this annual celebration. This pumpkin spice latte cocktail is the only pumpkin spice latte that I want to drink.

People anxiously awaited the first sale of Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte. There were countdown clocks and first sightings. Even the barristas were commenting on the impeding stampede. But, not everyone is a fan of this coffee beverage. Personally, I would rather have a pumpkin spice latte cocktail.

As the calendar turns to September, pumpkin spice flavor is everywhere. From cereals to cakes, and even crazy offerings like butter, pumpkin spice takes over everything. While the warm, spicy flavors are comforting on a cool, fall day.

Since pumpkin spice takes over everywhere, it makes sense that liquor companies are joining the fall flavor trend. Baileys has brought back its pumpkin spice flavor beverage. Last year was the first time the liquor company offered this season flavor. It was a huge hit.

During its first year, the Baileys pumpkin spice sold out in a few short months. The flavors are classic pumpkin spice. With warm cinnamon, sweet maple and buttery pie crust, the classic flavors are all present. But, how should this limited edition beverage be enjoyed?

Baileys is often enjoyed mixed with coffee. Why not take that typical pumpkin spice latte and turn it into a cocktail. Luckily Baileys has shared their pumpkin spice cocktail recipe.

"Pumpkin Spice LatteIngredients:2 oz Baileys Pumpkin Spice1 1/2 oz Brewed Coffee1 oz MilkFresh Grated Cinnamon for GarnishPreparation:1. Combine Baileys Pumpkin Spice with brewed coffee and milk. Stir well.2. Serve warm or over ice.3. Top with fresh grated cinnamon. Enjoy!"

Personally, I would rather have this cocktail over a slice of pumpkin pie for dessert. While I am not a huge fan of pumpkin spice lattes, this cocktail would be a nice after dinner coffee. Instead of serving a slice of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving dinner, the adults could enjoy this after dinner drink.

Pumpkin spice season is here and we might as well embrace it. At least this pumpkin spice latte cocktail will make it a little more festive.
