Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition is back for a wild culinary ride
Some people think that celebrities lead a charmed life. But, this group of celebrity chefs need a cooking makeover in Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition.
The show that makes any home cook better about her cooking ability is back. Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition returns for a new season on April 15. With Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence guiding the celebrities through kitchen boot camp, these celebrity chefs have the opportunity to master some impressive cooking skills.
Contenders Ian Ziering, Oscar Nunez, Bronson Pinchot, Nolan Gould, Catherine Bach, Maria Bamford, and La Toya Jackson, as seen on Worst Cooks In America, Season 13.
In this six-episode season, the celebrity chefs include “Catherine Bach, Maria Bamford, Nolan Gould, La Toya Jackson, Oscar Nunez, Bronson Pinchot and Ian Ziering.” According to Courtney White, Senior Vice President, Programming, Food Network, Travel Channel and Cooking Channel, this group starts off as “comical kitchen disasters” and transforms into “skilled cooks.”
Food Network fans enjoy watching this Worst Cooks show because it shows celebrities in a different light. Often people wonder if celebrities really eat like real people. In the first episode, the celebrities have to cook their signature dish. Just maybe, one of the celebrities will cook your favorite dish. As long as Ian Ziering doesn’t cook shark, I think that the season will be off to a strong start.

Since the prize money goes to charity, this cooking show is as much about improving the celebrities’ cooking techniques as it is about winning. Being able to donate a significant prize to charity can make anyone work harder. The cooking part is the celebrities’ take away from this experience.
Co-hosts Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence, as seen on Worst Cooks In America, Season 13.
While the celebrities are competing, the two leaders are competing too. Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence both return as the team leader and mentors. Both of these esteemed chefs want to earn a win in their column.
Depending on their team members, there is strategy involved. Burrell and Florence can cook a myriad of amazing dishes. Still, the dishes that they teach their team members must be approachable for the learning celebrity chefs. While flavors and even a few techniques might be advanced, the whole dish shouldn’t be too far out of anyone’s comfort zone.
For the viewer, Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition is a great way to learn, too. The technique explanations are easy to follow. For the most part, the view could easily recreate one of the weekly dishes in her own kitchen. Are you up for the challenge?
