Growing up, who doesn’t remember enjoying a popsicle or other frozen treat on a hot day. There was something about eating those icy treats that made the heat seem more bearable. Why can’t adults have their own version of a boozy dessert that is icy cold? Adults deserve some fun, right?
HI-CHEW partnered with Allison Kave of Butter & Scotch, the Brooklyn bar and bakery, to create some delicious boozy frozen desserts that adults will enjoy. Using the chewy, fruity candy, each dessert features a candy infused liquor. The candy adds both flavor and sweetness to these treats.

Grape CHEWsicle
Desserts on a stick are always fun. It makes you feel like a kid again. This frozen delight features HI-CHEW insfused Pisco. Pisco is a great spirit to enjoy. The Peruvian spirit, often associated with a Pisco Sour, can be used in any cocktail. The clean, crisp flavor allows the other ingredients to shine.
This frozen dessert is both sweet and refreshing. The addition of lemon juice helps to keep the dessert from being too sweet. While the grape flavor is reminiscent of childhood treats, this dessert is only for the adults.
"Grape CHEWsicleIngredients•2 ounces Grape HI-CHEW infused Pisco**•2 cups concord grape juice (chilled)•2 ounces simple syrup•1.5 ounces fresh lemon juiceMethodCombine all of the ingredients in a pitcher or measuring cup, pour into popsicle molds, and freeze until solid, at least 6 hours but preferably overnight. Dip the molds briefly in hot water to release from the popsicles. **INFUSIONS: The infusion ratio is one piece of candy per ounce of liquor. Soak the candy until dissolved."

Kiwi Dreamsicle
Similar to the classic creamsicle, this frozen dessert is both sweet yet slightly herbaceous. By using gin, the dessert has a balance to the sweet cream soda and vanilla ice cream. Even if gin isn’t your go to liquor, this combination is quite surprising. One word of caution, take your time enjoying this treat. It is definitely not a dessert to eat too quickly.
"Kiwi DreamsicleIngredients•1.5 ounces Kiwi HI-CHEW Infused Dry Gin**•2 ounces Cream Soda•Selzer•1 scoop Vanilla Ice CreamMethodMeasure the gin and cream soda into a parfait or pint glass. Fill 2/3 with seltzer, then top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serve with a spoon and straw, and garnish with kiwis and Kiwi HI-CHEW Candies. **INFUSIONS: The infusion ratio is one piece of candy per ounce of gin. Soak the candy until dissolved."
